Biography

Sir Thomas Sean Connery (August 25, 1930 - October 31, 2020) was a Scottish actor and producer who won an Academy Award, two BAFTA Awards (one being a BAFTA Academy Fellowship Award), and three Golden Globes, including the Cecil B. DeMille Award and a Henrietta Award. Connery was the first actor to portray the character James Bond in film, starring in seven Bond films (every film from Dr. No to You Only Live Twice, plus Diamonds Are Forever and Never Say Never Again), between 1962 and 1983. In 1988, Connery won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in The Untouchables. His films also include Marnie (1964), Murder on the Orient Express (1974), The Man Who Would Be King (1975), A Bridge Too Far (1977), Highlander (1986), Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989), The Hunt for Red October (1990), Dragonheart (1996), The Rock (1996), and Finding Forrester (2000). Connery was polled in a 2004 The Sunday Herald as "The Greatest Living Scot" and in a 2011 EuroMillions survey as "Scotland's Greatest Living National Treasure". He was voted by People magazine as both the “Sexiest Man Alive" in 1989 and the "Sexiest Man of the Century” in 1999. He received a lifetime achievement award in the United States with a Kennedy Center Honor in 1999. Connery was knighted in the 2000 New Year Honours for services to film drama. On October 31, 2020, it was announced that Connery had died at the age of 90.

Biography

Antonio Hernández Fimia (Madrid, Spain, 09/30/1997) is an actor and poet with a degree in Acting from the Real Escuela Superior de Arte Dramático. Currently, he is a member of the Compañía Nacional de Teatro Clásico (CNTC). He has participated in various theater productions, including notable works such as “La discreta enamorada” by Lope de Vega, directed by Lluis Homar, “El monstruo de los jardines” by Calderón de la Barca, directed by Iñaki Rikarte, “Todas hieren y una mata” by Álvaro Tato and “Mestiza” by Julieta Soria, among others. He has also appeared in television series such as “+ de 100 mentiras” and “Cuéntame”, and films such as “Casa de fieras”, “Código 10.36” and “Culpa mía”. Trained in fencing, karate, and acrobatics, he works as a specialist and choreographer in action scenes for both theater and audiovisual productions. He has contributed to the anthology “Puro teatro: homenaje a un oficio” (Daniel Migueláñez ed.), which brings together various professionals in the theatrical field. His first poetry book, “Del Purgatorio”, was published by Valparaíso Ediciones. He has written, directed, and starred in his first theatrical monologue, “Poética del Naufragio”. He is the founder and director of Ayer, a weekly poetry recital in Madrid, which eventually gave its name to his audiovisual production company: Ayer Producciones. He combines cultural promotion on social media with his work as an actor and visual artist (theater posters, video art, illustrations, etc.). In 2021, he debuted as an audiovisual producer with “Ayer: especial fin de año”, an arts event he directed and hosted, inviting numerous representatives of contemporary theater and poetry. In December 2022, he directed and produced a second edition of the event. In 2023, he produced the miniseries Rapport. “Upon the Sky” is his first film as a director.

Naseeruddin Shah (born 20 July 1950) is an Indian film and stage actor and director, and a prominent figure in Indian parallel cinema. Shah has won numerous awards in his career, including three National Film Awards, three Filmfare Awards and an award at the Venice Film Festival. The Government of India has honoured him with the Padma Shri and the Padma Bhushan awards for his contributions to Indian cinema. Shah has also appeared in the Pakistani Film Industry, Lollywood, through the films Khuda Kay Liye and Zinda Bhaag.

Anthony Bekenn

Biography

Anthony Bekenn was born in East Africa, in the southern part of Tanzania during a cyclone. His father, Michael, was a district officer in the Tanganyika government, the result being that Anthony lived a peripatetic life up to the age of eight. Initially he was home schooled by his mother, Sheila, who had previously been a school teacher in Wolverhampton in the UK. He was subsequently educated in England, attending Tettenhall College, when his parents returned there in the early sixties. He completed high school in Canada, after the family emigrated to Vancouver B.C. in 1967. He completed a degree in History and English at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver in 1974, and then decided to try his hand at acting. He attended the Webber-Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art in London, England, which merged with Central School of Speech and Drama in 2006. Anthony's first professional stage appearance was in Victoria B.C. in "Equus". An extensive career has followed, working in television and numerous theatres across Canada, including the Stratford Festival (Taming of the Shrew, Comedy of Errors, Coriolanus, Misanthrope), and the Shaw Festival (1993-2013). His favourite roles include the title role in the CBC film "The Greening Of Ian Elliot", Bluntschli in "Arms and the Man", Gary in "Noises Off", The Archbishop of Rheims in "St Joan", Oxenby in "The Dresser", the Colonel in "Journey's End", Alfred Bridgenorth in "Getting Married", Giles Lacy in "Rebecca", Fancourt Babberley in "Charley's Aunt", and Jesus in the female "Odd Couple" with Sandy Dennis and Stella Stevens. Starting in 1993, Anthony was part of the Shaw Festival in Niagara-on-the-Lake, appearing in thirty eight productions.

Biography

Travis Gordon Lopes Jr. is an American professional wrestler currently working for Chaotic Wrestling and Ring of Honor. He is listed as an active duty member of the National Guard, working as a combat engineer with specialization in explosives training. Gordon signed a contract with Ring of Honor a month after his first match on the promotion, where he lost to Matt Sydal on April 8, 2017 in Baltimore, l MD.[8] On December 15, 2017 at ROH's Final Battle Gordon teamed with Dragon Lee and Titan against The Young Bucks and Hangman Page for the ROH World 6-Man Tag Titles but they were unsuccessful. On July 20, 2018 at ROH's Honor for All event, Nick Aldis defeated Gordon by submission to retain the NWA World Heavyweight Championship. After the match, Cody Rhodes helped Gordon to his feet and teased booking him for the All In event before Bully Ray assaulted Gordon with a low blow. On September 1, 2018, Gordon won the All In Over the Budget Battle Royal for the chance to challenge Jay Lethal for the ROH World Championship the same night, which he did unsuccessfully In the Sea At Honor Tournament, Gordon defeated Jay Briscoe in the finals to win the tournament giving him a future ROH World Championship shot. At ROH's Honor Reings Supreme Gordon was in a match against Tracy Williams and early in the match Gordon injured his knee ending the match early. Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (2017-2018) On September 16, 2017 Gordon made his debut with Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre, teaming with Volador Jr. and Carístico to defeat Kojima, Mephisto and Último Guerrero at the CMLL 84th Anniversary Show.[11] He also wrestled several events during the week such as Puebla shows and Tuesday, Friday and Sunday Arena México shows. Gordon would come back for CMLL's Gran Prix Internacional - Torneo Cibernético where his team would win. New Japan Pro-Wrestling (2018-present) In February 2018, Gordon wrestled for the Ring of Honor's and New Japan Pro-Wrestling's cross-promotional event, Honor Rising, where he would win a three-way match against Hiromu Takahashi & Kushida on Night One. He would lose a tag team match on Night Two, teaming with Ryusuke Taguchi against Los Ingobernables de Japon (Bushi & Hiromu Takahashi). In May 2018, Gordon was announced as one of the 16 participants in New Japan's annual Best of the Super Juniors tournament. He finished the tournament with 3 wins and 4 losses, failing to advance to the finals. After competing at the jointly promoted G1 Supercard, Gordon was announced as returning to the Best of the Super Juniors tournament. Alan Madlane

Biography

Alan Madlane is a Detroit-based actor, script revisionist and screenwriter, best known for "Frostbiter: Wrath of the Wendigo" (aka: "Wendigo," "Beyond the Mask," and "Train Station." He is also a former critic, copywriter and associate editor for the seminal rock and roll magazine CREEM from 1977-79. A proud member of SAG-AFTRA since 2014, he has been acting in films since 1980 and onstage since 1983. He has about 20 films and 75 stage productions to his credit, virtually all in the greater Detroit area. Other major roles or more notable films include "Dirty Trousers" (never completed) and "Amsteroid (aka Magic Mentah)," as well as "P. I. Blues," "Happy Hour" and "Malignant Separation." Born in Detroit, he grew up in Detroit and the nearby suburb of Livonia. He graduated from Livonia Churchill High School, class of 1975 (which is the same year Judy Greer, who also attended Churchill, was born). While at Churchill, he participated in the drama club, but not as an actor. He was recommended for his role in "Frostbiter: Wrath of the Wendigo" by good friend Ron Asheton, late guitarist for The Stooges. He worked as a zookeeper and docent in the Detroit Zoological Park system from 1998-2000, and as a degreed librarian at several public libraries in the Detroit area. Other past jobs include having been an English professor, having tended bar in a strip joint, and having recovered dead bodies; also: film projectionist, cab driving, landscaping, waiting tables, selling tropical fish, and journalism. He is a member of MENSA and is listed in Who's Who in America. He holds a Masters degree in Library Science, as well as a Bachelors in English/Creative Writing with a minor in the Biomedical Sciences. He attended Wayne State University, Western Michigan University and Schoolcraft College. In addition to being an actor, he is a writer, poet, musician and photographer. His show biz idol has long been the late David Bowie. Among his many varied interests are: metaphysics and human potential; animal and human welfare; record, book and art collecting; sports, gambling and racing; astronomy; zoology and species survival; antiques, auctions and estate and garage sales; and more. He was born a twin, but his younger twin sister Denise died 30 minutes after being born. He has one living sister, Karen, eight years his junior. Despite several relationships, he has never married or had any known children. From 1992 to 2018, he had the stated privilege of having raised 13 stray and rescue cats. Yu Irie (入江 悠, Irie Yū, born November 25, 1979) is a Japanese film director / screenwriter who was born in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, and grew up in Fukaya, Saitama Prefecture. After a number of short films, including Obsession and Seven Drives which were screened at the Yubari International Fantastic Film Festival in 2003 and 2004, Irie directed two softcore erotic V-Cinema videos in 2007, Cream Lemon 7 and Swimsuit Spy - SPY GIRLS. The latter video, an erotic comedy, starred AV Idol Mihiro. In 2009 the second feature film he directed, 8000 Miles (SR サイタマノラッパー, SR: Saitama no Rapper), won the grand prize in the Off Theatre Competition at the Yubari International Fantastic Film Festival. It also earned Irie the Directors Guild of Japan New Directors Award. The film follows four friends from suburban Fukuya (punned on Fukaya) who dream of becoming rap stars. Ammar Taqi, born in Kuwait in 1976, pursued his education locally before receiving a scholarship to the United States, where he earned a degree in electrical engineering. He later worked in the oil sector and began a media career by hosting two radio programs on Kuwait State Radio. Taqi also wrote a weekly column for Al-Rai newspaper for six years.
