Vikram Gokhale

Biography

Vikram Gokhale was an Indian film, television and stage actor, noted for his roles in Marathi theatre, Hindi films and television. He was the son of the Veteran Marathi theatre and film actor, Chandrakant Gokhale. Gokhale made his directorial debut in 2010, with the Marathi film Aaghaat. Gokhale married Vrushali in 1975 and they have two daughters, namely Aasavari and Neha. Vrushali is also an actress seen in few films and TV shows like Aaj Jhale Mukt Mi (1986, film), Aaghaat (2010, film) and Shwetambara (1983, TV show). Gokhale ran a real estate firm called Sujata Farms in Pune. He was also a social activist. His family's charitable foundation provides financial support for disabled soldiers, Children of lepers, and education of orphan children. In February 2016, due to a throat ailment, Gokhale retired from stage activities, though he continued film work.

Gourang Chakraborty (born 16 June 1950), better known by his stage name Mithun Chakraborty (informally referred to as Mithun Da), is an Indian film actor, singer, producer, writer, social worker, entrepreneur, television presenter and a former Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament. He is the recipient of two Filmfare Awards and three National Film Awards. He made his acting debut with the art house drama Mrigayaa (1976), for which he won his first National Film Award for Best Actor. Mithun Chakraborty is a three-time National Film Award-winning Indian film actor, social activist and entrepreneur. Mithun Chakraborty made his acting debut starring alongside Bollywood actress Safya Hanif with the arthouse drama Mrigaya (1976), for which he won his first National Film Award for Best Actor. He had earned a huge fan following as a dancing star and went on to establish himself as one of the most popular and leading actors of India, particularly recognised for his role of street dancer Jimmy in the 1982 movie Disco Dancer. Chakraborty has appeared in about 250 Hindi films, as well as a number of Bengali, Oriya and Bhojpuri pictures. He owns the Monarch Group, which has interests in the hospitality sector. P. V Jagadish Kumar, popularly known as Jagadish, is an actor well known for portraying comedic roles in Malayalam films. He has acted in over 300 films over his career spanning more than three decades. He is best known for his roles in In Harihar Nagar (1990), Godfather (1991), Butterflies (1993) and Hitler (1996). Jagadish has also stared as a lead character actor in several sleeper hits during the early 1990s. Jagadish has also worked as a screenwriter in a handful of films. Before entering the film industry he worked as college lecturer. He had a short stint in politics and had unsuccessfully contested the 2016 Kerala state elections under the banner of the Indian National Congress. Jagadish is also active in television as a show host.

James Newell Osterberg Jr. (born April 21, 1947), known professionally as Iggy Pop, is an American singer, songwriter, musician, and occasional actor. He is considered an influential innovator of punk rock, hard rock, and other styles of rock music. Pop began calling himself "Iggy" after his first band in high school (for which he was drummer), The Iguanas. He was lead singer/songwriter of influential protopunk band The Stooges and became known for his outrageous and unpredictable stage antics. Pop's popularity has ebbed and flowed throughout the course of his subsequent solo career. His best-known songs include "Lust for Life" which was featured on the soundtrack of the film Trainspotting, "Search and Destroy", "I Wanna Be Your Dog", "Down on the Street", Kick It (a duet with Peaches) , the Top 40 hits "Real Wild Child" and "Candy" (with vocalist Kate Pierson of The B-52's), "China Girl" (co-written with and famously covered by David Bowie), and "The Passenger". Sid Eudy

Sidney Raymond "Sid" Eudy was an American professional wrestler. He is best known under the ring names Sid Vicious, Sid Justice and "Sycho" Sid and for his tenures in World Championship Wrestling (WCW) and The World Wrestling Federation (WWF). Between those promotions, Eudy has enjoyed major championship success and performed to a worldwide television audience in four decades from the 1980s to the 2010s. Eudy is a six time world champion, having won the WWF Championship twice, the WCW World Heavyweight Championship twice and the USWA Unified World Heavyweight Champion twice. In addition to world title success, Eudy is also a one time WCW United States Heavyweight Champion. During his tenures with the WWF and WCW, Eudy headlined many major pay-per-views for both organizations. He closed WrestleManias VIII and 13 in 1992 and 1997 respectively, as well as Starrcade, WCW's counterpart to that event, in 2000. In speaking of Eudy's impact, WWE wrote, "One of the most brutal Superstars to ever terrorize WWE, the sadistic Sid brought an intensity that few could ever hope to contain. Just ask the litany of ring legends who have incurred his wrath — a hit list that includes Shawn Michaels, Hulk Hogan, Bret "Hit Man" Hart and many more." Eudy was a playable character in the NES version of WWF WrestleMania: Steel Cage Challenge, the Game Boy game WWF Superstars 2 and the SNES version of WWF Super Wrestlemania. For WCW he appeared in WCW Backstage Assault. Unrelated to any wrestling promotion he was a playable character in both Legends of Wrestling II and Showdown: Legends of Wrestling as well. Most recently appears as "Sycho" Sid in WWE 2K17, where his character is part of the Legends Pack downloadable content bundle. Sid is also part of the roster in WWE 2K18 and WWE 2K19.

Sean Connery

Sir Thomas Sean Connery (August 25, 1930 – October 31, 2020) was a Scottish actor and producer. He won an Academy Award, two BAFTA Awards (one being a BAFTA Academy Fellowship Award), and three Golden Globes, including the Cecil B. DeMille Award and a Henrietta Award. Connery was the first actor to portray the character James Bond in film, starring in seven Bond films (every film from Dr. No to You Only Live Twice, plus Diamonds Are Forever and Never Say Never Again), between 1962 and 1983. In 1988, Connery won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in The Untouchables. His films also include Marnie (1964), Murder on the Orient Express (1974), The Man Who Would Be King (1975), A Bridge Too Far (1977), Highlander (1986), Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989), The Hunt for Red October (1990), Dragonheart (1996), The Rock (1996), and Finding Forrester (2000). Connery was polled in a 2004 The Sunday Herald as "The Greatest Living Scot" and in a 2011 EuroMillions survey as "Scotland's Greatest Living National Treasure". He was voted by People magazine as both the “Sexiest Man Alive" in 1989 and the "Sexiest Man of the Century” in 1999. He received a lifetime achievement award in the United States with a Kennedy Center Honor in 1999. Connery was knighted in the 2000 New Year Honours for services to film drama. On October 31, 2020, Connery died at the age of 90.

Robert Vansittart

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Robert Gilbert Vansittart, 1st Baron Vansittart GCB GCMG MVO PC (25 June 1881 – 14 February 1957), known as Sir Robert Vansittart between 1929 and 1941, was a senior British diplomat in the period before and during the Second World War. He was Principal Private Secretary to the Prime Minister from 1928 to 1930 and Permanent Under-Secretary at the Foreign Office from 1930 to 1938 and later served as Chief Diplomatic Adviser to the British Government. He is best remembered for his opposition to appeasement and his strong stance against Germany during and after the Second World War. Vansittart was also a published poet, novelist and playwright. Vansittart was a close friend of producer Alexander Korda. He helped Korda with the financing of London Films. His full title, awarded to him after World War II, was Baron Vansittart of Denham, after the town where London Films had its studio. Vansittart contributed to four motion pictures. He wrote the screenplay for Wedding Rehearsal (1933), contributed dialogue to Sixty Glorious Years (1938) and, under the pseudonym "Robert Denham," provided song lyrics for Korda's The Thief of Bagdad (1940) and "The Jungle Book" (1942), in collaboration with the noted Hungarian composer Miklós Rózsa with whom he also wrote the concert musical work for voices, "Beast of Burden" (1940).

Gorgeous, buxom and voluptuous blonde knockout Suzi Simpson was born Susan Athena Simpson on November 16, 1968 in Athens, Greece. Her father was a Navy officer and her mother was a flight attendant. The eldest of four children, Simpson has two brothers and one sister. She has lived in such coastal areas as Maine, Florida, and California. A Roman Catholic, Suzi attended the all-girl St. Mary's Academy high school. In 1983 Simpson was voted the Homecoming Queen of Virginia Military Institute. In 1984 she won the Miss District of Columbia Teen USA Pageant. Suzi began modeling to raise money to go to dental school. She appeared in a TV commercial for Pepsi with Michael Jackson and was featured in the music video for "Love in an Elevator" by Aerosmith. Matthew Irving has been the Cinematographer on 35+ feature films including the hit comedies Waitress (2007) staring Keri Russell and Nathan Fillion (which was adapted into the Tony nominated Broadway musical) and Waiting (2005) starring Ryan Reynolds and Anna Faris, which both cracked the "top ten" at the Box Office. His rave film Groove (2000) (starring Hamish Linklater) was an Independent Spirit Award nominee; and the thriller A Bit of Bad Luck (2014) (starring Cary Elwes), was awarded "Best Cinematography" by the Los Angeles Movie Awards. Five of his features have premiered at the Sundance Film Festival, including the gritty spaghetti western Outlaws and Angels (2016), which was included in Variety's "21 Best Films of Sundance 2016". Irving grew up in the tiny town of Mountain Lakes, New Jersey, where he began shooting Super-8mm movies with his brother at the age of nine. He migrated west and earned his undergraduate degree at Stanford University, and an MFA from the University of Southern California's School of Cinema/Television. After his first feature "One" garnered wide-spread critical acclaim, Irving was named one of the "25 New Faces of Independent Film" by Filmmaker Magazine. Since then, he has repeatedly earned accolades for his style of "precise framing and camera movement" and his "acute attention to color, lighting, and texture". In 2005, Irving married the love of his life, director/producer/actress Cindy Baer at the little chapel in Yosemite National Park.

Brian Lee Harris is an American retired professional wrestler. He is best known for his appearances with Extreme Championship Wrestling, Smoky Mountain Wrestling, and Total Nonstop Action Wrestling under the ring name Brian Lee and with WWE as Chainz and an impersonator version of The Undertaker. Lee enjoyed most of his success in SMW, becoming the promotion's inaugural Heavyweight Champion in 1992, winning it a total of two times. He also held the Tag Team Championship and the Beat the Champ Television Championship twice each and was a mainstay of the promotion throughout its existence between 1991 and 1995.
