Jennifer Abbott

Biography

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. Jennifer Abbott (born c. 1965) is a Canadian director, cinematographer and editor, best known as a documentary maker. Her first feature documentary, A Cow at My Table (1998), explores contemporary Western attitudes to livestock and meat production. More recently, she served as co-director and editor of the widely acclaimed documentary, The Corporation (2003), which critically examines large corporations in the modern world. That film won numerous international film awards, including a Genie for best documentary, an audience award from the Sundance Film Festival, and a Top Ten Films of the Year designation from the Toronto International Film Festival. Her previous work includes the experimental short Skinned, and as editor for Two Brides and a Scalpel: Diary of a Lesbian Marriage (1999). She is also the editor of the book Making Video 'In': The Contested Ground of Alternative Video on the West Coast. She has taught at the Emily Carr Institute of Art & Design in Vancouver. Sean Connery

Sir Thomas Sean Connery (August 25, 1930 - October 31, 2020) was a Scottish actor and producer who won an Academy Award, two BAFTA Awards (one being a BAFTA Academy Fellowship Award), and three Golden Globes, including the Cecil B. DeMille Award and a Henrietta Award. Connery was the first actor to portray the character James Bond in film, starring in seven Bond films (every film from Dr. No to You Only Live Twice, plus Diamonds Are Forever and Never Say Never Again), between 1962 and 1983. In 1988, Connery won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in The Untouchables. His films also include Marnie (1964), Murder on the Orient Express (1974), The Man Who Would Be King (1975), A Bridge Too Far (1977), Highlander (1986), Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989), The Hunt for Red October (1990), Dragonheart (1996), The Rock (1996), and Finding Forrester (2000). Connery was polled in a 2004 The Sunday Herald as "The Greatest Living Scot" and in a 2011 EuroMillions survey as "Scotland's Greatest Living National Treasure". He was voted by People magazine as both the “Sexiest Man Alive" in 1989 and the "Sexiest Man of the Century” in 1999. He received a lifetime achievement award in the United States with a Kennedy Center Honor in 1999. Connery was knighted in the 2000 New Year Honours for services to film drama. On October 31, 2020, it was announced that Connery had died at the age of 90.

Corey Parker (July 8, 1965 – March 5, 2026) was an American actor and acting coach. He grew up in and around the theater. A native of New York City, he began working as an actor at age 5 and training at the age of 14 with teachers from the Actors Studio. He graduated from the High School of Performing Arts in Manhattan. He has appeared on every major network — with leading roles on ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, UPN, and supporting roles on PBS, BBC, HBO, MTV, USA. He has worked at Paramount, Universal, 20th Century Fox, Warner Brothers, Miramax, Lorimar, and Viacom. Corey is a member of the Ensemble Studio Theater in New York and Los Angeles, and has worked with Chicago's Steppenwolf Theater Company, with Joe Papp at the Public Theater, and has a long list of productions in which he has appeared in New York and at the Mark Taper in Los Angeles.

Robbie Dema

Biography

Robert "Robbie" Dema is an actor and model from Wantagh, New York. Born August 31,1993 in the Bronx, Robbie grew up with three passions, baseball, acting and horse racing. As a child, he was convinced he would become a jockey and eventually led to him attending the University of Arizona to learn the business and science side to the racing industry in the Racetrack Industry Program. During his time at the University of Arizona, Robbie portrayed mascot, Wilbur T. Wildcat, taking on a new challenge and form of performance where film, commercial, and photo shoots were required as well as rehearsed and improvisational performances. This is where the acting bug kicked back in since some of his lead roles in his high school musicals. Soon after, he switched his major and graduated with his Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Arts and minor in Equine Racing Science. Upon his return to New York to pursue his acting career, he found himself off to a comfortable and fortunate start to build from. Within his first year, he landed roles in various commercials, TV shows, films, as well as print and runway model work.

Jung Ho-seok (정호석; born February 18, 1994), known professionally as j-hope (제이홉), is a South Korean rapper, songwriter, record producer and dancer under BigHit Music. He is a member of the boy group BTS. j-hope released his first solo mixtape, Hope World, in 2018. It was received positively by critics and peaked at number 38 on the US Billboard 200, the highest-charting album by a Korean solo artist at the time. He became the first member of BTS to enter the Billboard Hot 100 as a soloist in 2019, when his single "Chicken Noodle Soup", featuring singer Becky G, debuted at number 81. In 2022, j-hope released his debut studio album Jack in the Box. In 2023, he released his single "On the Street" with J. Cole. In 2024, he released a six-part docuseries titled Hope on the Street, accompanied by the special album Hope on the Street Vol. 1. In 2020, j-hope was promoted to full member of the Korea Music Copyright Association. In 2018, he was awarded the fifth-class Hwagwan Order of Cultural Merit by the President of South Korea, along with the other members of BTS, for his contributions to Korean culture.

Carole Bouquet (born 18 August 1957) is a French actress and fashion model, who has appeared in more than 40 films since 1977. Bouquet was born in Neuilly-sur-Seine, France. She is best known internationally for her role as the Bond girl Melina Havelock in the 1981 movie For Your Eyes Only, but she also acted in a number of mainstream European films throughout the 1980s and continues to do so in France. She is also recognized for her work in Luis Buñuel's surrealist classic That Obscure Object of Desire (1977), and in the internationally successful film Too Beautiful For You (1989), for which she won the César Award for Best Actress. Also she received a César Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress in Rive droite, rive gauche (1984). Bouquet was a model for Chanel in the 1980s-1990s. Anna Theodora Chancellor (born 27 April 1965) is an English actress who has appeared widely on TV, film and in the theatre. She received a nomination for BAFTA TV Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role as Lix Storm in The Hour (2011–2012), and has twice been nominated for Olivier Awards, in 1997 for her performances in Stanley at the National Theatre, and again in 2014 for Private Lives at the Gielgud Theatre. Kathrin Skalidou

Actress & soprano leggera singer. She studied classical singing at the Hellenic Conservatory, with the internationally renowned mezzo-soprano Yolanda di Tasso, and received her diploma in June 1993 with the grade "Excellence" and First Prize. In 1994 she continued her studies in classical singing, in Russia (Moscow), with Margarita Lilova. She has a diploma in acting from the Hemicratic School of the Athens Conservatory, with teachers: Dino Dimopoulos, Dimitri Myrat, Grigori Vafia, Maria Hors, Giannis Stefanelli, etc. She has attended classes: ballet, European dances with the internationally renowned dancer Iro Sismanis. She has also taken Indian dance lessons with the famous Lyda Sandala. She studied piano for 7 years at the Hellenic Conservatory, in Athens, Greece. After receiving her diploma in acting from the School of the Athens Conservatory, she attended acting seminars with V. Diamantopoulos. She also attended orthophony seminars with the unforgettable: Dimitris Myrat and Nikos Papakonstantinou.
