Ken Timbs

Biography

Ken Timbs was an American professional wrestler best known for his time in the 1980s as part of the Fabulous Blondes tag team with Eric Embry. He competed in promotions like Southwest Championship Wrestling and International World Class Championship Wrestling, where he won the SCW World Tag Team Championship. Later, in Mexico, he became the NWA World Light Heavyweight Champion in 1988, being the first foreigner to hold the title in 12 years. Throughout his career, he also wrestled under the mask as The Assassin in the 1990s. Timbs founded the website OldSchoolWrestling.com in 2001 and passed away in 2004 at the age of 53 due to heart failure.

Nicole Croisille

Biography

Nicole Croisille (9 October 1936 – 4 June 2025) was a French singer and actress. She appeared in 24 films between 1961 and 2005, and recorded several albums since 1961. Perhaps her most heard work is on the soundtrack of 1966 film, A Man and a Woman (Un Homme et Une Femme). She sang one solo, "Today It's You," and dueted with Pierre Barouh on several other numbers. Croisille attempted to represent France in the Eurovision Song Contest 1974 with the songs "Tu m'avais dit" and "Je t'aime un point c'est tout", but Dani was selected instead, although she did not participate due to Georges Pompidou's death being on the week in the contest. Her best-known records are "I'll Never Leave You"; "Téléphone-Moi"; "Une Femme avec Toi"; "J'ai besoin de Toi, J'ai besoin de Lui"; and "Parlez-moi de Lui". Her single, "Woman in Your Arms", peaked at number 71 in Australia in May 1976. She lived with Ménière's disease. Michael Gambon

Biography

Sir Michael John Gambon (October 19, 1940 – September 27, 2023) was an Irish-English actor. Gambon started his acting career with Laurence Olivier as one of the original members of the Royal National Theatre. Over his six-decade-long career, he received three Olivier Awards and four BAFTA TV Awards. In 1998, he was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II for services to drama. Gambon appeared in many productions of works by William Shakespeare such as Othello, Hamlet, Macbeth and Coriolanus. Gambon was nominated for thirteen Olivier Awards, winning three times for A Chorus of Disapproval (1985), A View from the Bridge (1987), and Man of the Moment (1990). In 1997, Gambon made his Broadway debut in David Hare's Skylight, earning a Tony Award for Best Actor in a Play nomination. Gambon made his film debut in Othello (1965). His other notable films include The Cook, the Thief, His Wife & Her Lover (1989), The Wings of the Dove (1997), The Insider (1999), Gosford Park (2001), Amazing Grace (2006), The King's Speech (2010), Quartet (2012), and Victoria & Abdul (2017). Gambon also appeared in the Wes Anderson films The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou (2004) and Fantastic Mr. Fox (2009). Gambon gained wider recognition through his role of Albus Dumbledore in the Harry Potter film series from 2004 to 2011, replacing Richard Harris following his death in 2002. For his work on television, he received four BAFTA Awards for The Singing Detective (1986), Wives and Daughters (1999), Longitude (2000), and Perfect Strangers (2001). He also received two Primetime Emmy Award nominations for Path to War (2002) and Emma (2009). Gambon's other notable projects include Cranford (2007) and The Casual Vacancy (2015). In 2017, he received the Irish Film & Television Academy Lifetime Achievement Award. In 2020, he was listed at No. 27 on The Irish Times's list of Ireland's greatest film actors.

Sir Thomas Sean Connery (August 25, 1930 – October 31, 2020) was a Scottish actor and producer. He won an Academy Award, two BAFTA Awards (one being a BAFTA Academy Fellowship Award), and three Golden Globes, including the Cecil B. DeMille Award and a Henrietta Award. Connery was the first actor to portray the character James Bond in film, starring in seven Bond films (every film from Dr. No to You Only Live Twice, plus Diamonds Are Forever and Never Say Never Again), between 1962 and 1983. In 1988, Connery won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in The Untouchables. His films also include Marnie (1964), Murder on the Orient Express (1974), The Man Who Would Be King (1975), A Bridge Too Far (1977), Highlander (1986), Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989), The Hunt for Red October (1990), Dragonheart (1996), The Rock (1996), and Finding Forrester (2000). Connery was polled in a 2004 The Sunday Herald as "The Greatest Living Scot" and in a 2011 EuroMillions survey as "Scotland's Greatest Living National Treasure". He was voted by People magazine as both the “Sexiest Man Alive" in 1989 and the "Sexiest Man of the Century” in 1999. He received a lifetime achievement award in the United States with a Kennedy Center Honor in 1999. Connery was knighted in the 2000 New Year Honours for services to film drama. On October 31, 2020, Connery died at the age of 90.

Yvette Marie Stevens (born March 23, 1953), better known by her stage name Chaka Khan (/ˈʃɑːkə ˈkɑːn/ SHAH-kə KAHN), is an American singer and songwriter. Known as the "Queen of Funk", her career has spanned more than five decades beginning in the early 1970s as the lead vocalist of the funk band Rufus. With the band she recorded the notable hits "Tell Me Something Good," "Sweet Thing," "Do You Love What You Feel," and the platinum-certified "Ain't Nobody." He’s a film director with a BFA degree in Filmmaking from the New York Film Academy. Since 2011, he has written, directed and produced over 30 productions including features, shorts, music videos and commercials. His latest feature, Trifole, premiered at the 2025 Palm Springs International Film Festival and Santa Barbara International Film Festival, receiving nationwide theatrical releases in the US, Italy, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa. The film was also shortlisted as one of the 24 films in the running to be Italy’s submission to the 2026 Academy Awards.
