Gigi Proietti

Biography

Luigi "Gigi" Proietti (2 November 1940 – 2 November 2020) was an Italian actor, voice actor, comedian, musician, singer and television presenter. After several stage works, in 1966 Proietti debuted both in cinema, in Pleasant Nights, and on television, in the TV series I grandi camaleonti. His first personal success came in 1971, when he replaced Domenico Modugno in the stage musical Alleluja brava gente by Garinei & Giovannini, starring alongside Renato Rascel. In 1974, after playing the role of Neri Chiaramantesi in the drama La cena delle beffe, alongside Carmelo Bene and Vittorio Gassman, in 1976 started a fruitful collaboration with playwright Roberto Lerici, with whom he wrote and directed his stage plays, starting with the one-man show A me gli occhi, please (Give me your eyes, please, 1976, reported on the scene in 1993, 1996 and 2000, in a memorable performance at the Olympic Stadium in his hometown). Initially planned to be performed 6 times, the show exceeded 300 performances, with an average audience of 2,000 per performance. He took part in several international movies, including The Appointment (1969), directed by Sidney Lumet, A Wedding (1978), directed by Robert Altman, and Who Is Killing the Great Chefs of Europe? Claudio Scarchilli

Biography

Claudio Scarchilli (10 February 1924, Rome – 25 July 1992) was an Italian film actor who appeared in films throughout the 1960s. He acted in nearly twenty films within that decade. He is best known in world cinema for his small roles in several of Sergio Leone's films, portraying Pedro, member of Tuco's gang, in the Spaghetti Western The Good, the Bad and the Ugly in 1966, and Once Upon a Time in the West in 1968. His brother Sandro Scarchilli was also an actor and also appeared in The Good, the Bad and the Ugly in 1966. He made his last appearance in 1970.

Paola Senatore

Paola Senatore (born 9 November 1949) is an Italian retired film actress. Born in Rome, Paola Senatore worked in Italian genre films during the 1970s, including poliziotteschi, commedia sexy all'italiana and giallo films. These included cult films such as Ricco the Mean Machine (1973), The Flower with the Petals of Steel (1973), The Killer Reserved Nine Seats (1974), Salon Kitty (1976), Emanuelle in America (1977), and Umberto Lenzi's cannibal film Eaten Alive! (1980). In the mid-1980s, after two soft-core erotic films directed by Joe D'Amato and because of drug problems and pregnancy, she accepted starring in pornographic magazines and in a hard-core film, Non stop... sempre buio in sala. Her film career ended in September 1985 when she was arrested for possession and trafficking of drugs. Gloria Grahame

Biography

Gloria Grahame (November 28, 1923 – October 5, 1981) was an American actress. Grahame began her acting career in theatre, and in 1944 she made her first film for MGM. Despite a featured role in It's a Wonderful Life (1946), MGM did not believe she had the potential for major success, and sold her contract to RKO Studios. Often cast in film noir projects, Grahame received a nomination for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for Crossfire (1947), and she won this award for her work in The Bad and the Beautiful (1952). She achieved her highest profile with Sudden Fear (1952), Human Desire (1953),The Big Heat (1953), and Oklahoma! (1955), but her film career began to wane soon afterwards. She returned to work on the stage, but continued to appear in films and television productions, usually in supporting roles. Diagnosed with stomach cancer in 1980, Grahame refused to accept the diagnosis and travelled to England to work in a play. Her health rapidly failed and she returned to New York City, where she died in 1981.

Sir Thomas Sean Connery (August 25, 1930 - October 31, 2020) was a Scottish actor and producer who won an Academy Award, two BAFTA Awards (one being a BAFTA Academy Fellowship Award), and three Golden Globes, including the Cecil B. DeMille Award and a Henrietta Award. Connery was the first actor to portray the character James Bond in film, starring in seven Bond films (every film from Dr. No to You Only Live Twice, plus Diamonds Are Forever and Never Say Never Again), between 1962 and 1983. In 1988, Connery won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in The Untouchables. His films also include Marnie (1964), Murder on the Orient Express (1974), The Man Who Would Be King (1975), A Bridge Too Far (1977), Highlander (1986), Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989), The Hunt for Red October (1990), Dragonheart (1996), The Rock (1996), and Finding Forrester (2000). Connery was polled in a 2004 The Sunday Herald as "The Greatest Living Scot" and in a 2011 EuroMillions survey as "Scotland's Greatest Living National Treasure". He was voted by People magazine as both the “Sexiest Man Alive" in 1989 and the "Sexiest Man of the Century” in 1999. He received a lifetime achievement award in the United States with a Kennedy Center Honor in 1999. Connery was knighted in the 2000 New Year Honours for services to film drama. On October 31, 2020, it was announced that Connery had died at the age of 90.

After studying at IDHEC from 1959 to 1961, he worked for television from 1962 to 1968. He was co-producer and director of the program Lire: he signed fifteen documentaries and four TV movies. In 1967 he filmed his first short film, Assommons les pauvres, with stolen film. He left the ORTF after the strike movement of May 1968. He then devoted himself to the realization of his experimental feature film (Le Joueur de quilles), produced by Jean-Edern Hallier, and three short films produced by Pierre Braunberger. He collaborated in the journal Cinéthique from 1975.

Barbara "Baba" Lybeck, born December 26, 1966, in Pargas, is a Finnish-Swedish journalist and presenter. She has mainly worked in Finnish, but also in Swedish. Lybeck received a master's degree in philosophy from the University of Helsinki in 2007. Since 2019, Lybeck has been the host of the current affairs program "Viiden jälkeen" on MTV3. Lybeck was the host of Yle's current affairs entertainment program "Uutisvuoto" in 2011–2018. In 2009–2012, she worked as the editorial secretary for the Yle program "Puoli seitsemän". Between 1998 and 2009, she was the news editor and newscaster for Channel 4 news. She has also worked as a presenter in Radio City, MTV3 and the music program "Lista Top 40" (Yle). Guilherme Gomes

Guilherme dos Santos Gomes (born February 24, 2006) is a Portuguese actor, screenwriter, writer, and amateur director. He began his career in the early 2020s, founding the humorous chronicle blog "A Psique de Guilherme" in 2022. This later led him to independent online filmmaking, with short films conceived, written, and directed by himself, with the participation of members of his close family. Guilherme was born in Porto but has lived his entire life in Lamego. The son of Andreia Santos, a primary school teacher, and Domingos Gomes, a member of the National Republican Guard (GNR), he grew up in a middle-class family. From a young age, he demonstrated a keen interest in reading and writing, having taught himself to read at just four years old. He attended kindergarten in Avões, his maternal grandparents' village, primary school at the now-defunct Patronato Nun'Álvares Pereira, and the remainder of his compulsory education at Colégio de Lamego. He also attended Law school at the University of Porto, which he abandoned due to lack of fulfillment, and instead enrolled in the Communication Sciences program at UTAD.

Mark began working professionally in Los Angeles back in 1983, when he booked his first job as the "Starter" in, Hot Dog...the Movie". He continued working numerous Co-Star and Guest spots on episodic TV such as, "Murder She Wrote, "Dynasty," Knots Landing," "Who's the Boss," "LA Law," "Full House", "Seventh Heaven," "ER," "N.Y.P.D. Blue," "The West Wing," and "Criminal Minds." Mark also had recurring roles on such television shows as, "Bay City Blues," "JAG", and "First Monday." In 1990, Mark had a three year contract on the FOX youth oriented drama, "Tribes". Mark was very established in the theatre world in Los Angeles, having won Best Actor in a Feature Role from Stage Scene LA, for his performances in,"Finding Fossils" and "John is a Father" at The Road Theatre, as well as "Mom's Dead", at Sacred Fools. Mark appeared with Susan Sullivan and David Selby in Edward Albee's, "A Delicate Balance," at the Odyssey Theatre , which won the LA Drama Critics Circle McCulloh Award for Best Revival. Mark moved to Atlanta in 2017 and has appeared in the films, "Yes, God, Yes," "Our Friend" and the independent feature film, "Charles Sloan", which he played the title role, and which won For Best Full Length Feature Film at the 2022 Raleigh Film and Arts Festival.
