Sean Connery

Biography

Sir Thomas Sean Connery (August 25, 1930 - October 31, 2020) was a Scottish actor and producer who won an Academy Award, two BAFTA Awards (one being a BAFTA Academy Fellowship Award), and three Golden Globes, including the Cecil B. DeMille Award and a Henrietta Award. Connery was the first actor to portray the character James Bond in film, starring in seven Bond films (every film from Dr. No to You Only Live Twice, plus Diamonds Are Forever and Never Say Never Again), between 1962 and 1983. In 1988, Connery won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in The Untouchables. His films also include Marnie (1964), Murder on the Orient Express (1974), The Man Who Would Be King (1975), A Bridge Too Far (1977), Highlander (1986), Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989), The Hunt for Red October (1990), Dragonheart (1996), The Rock (1996), and Finding Forrester (2000). Connery was polled in a 2004 The Sunday Herald as "The Greatest Living Scot" and in a 2011 EuroMillions survey as "Scotland's Greatest Living National Treasure". He was voted by People magazine as both the “Sexiest Man Alive" in 1989 and the "Sexiest Man of the Century” in 1999. He received a lifetime achievement award in the United States with a Kennedy Center Honor in 1999. Connery was knighted in the 2000 New Year Honours for services to film drama. On October 31, 2020, it was announced that Connery had died at the age of 90.

Aldo Ray

Biography

Aldo Ray was born in the borough of Pen Argyl, in Northampton County, Pennsylvania on 25 September 1926. He attended the University of California at Berkeley, served as a US Navy frogman during WWII and saw action on Iwo Jima. While constable of Crockett, California, he drove his brother Guido to an audition for the film Idols in the Dust (1951). Director David Miller hired him for a small role as a cynical football player. Ray's husky frame, thick neck and raspy voice made him perfect for playing tough sexy roles. He was the star of George Cukor's The Marrying Kind (1952) and starred opposite Rita Hayworth in Miss Sadie Thompson (1953). Ray was the none-too-bright boxer in Cukor's Pat and Mike (1952) and an escaped convict in 'Michael Curtiz"s We're No Angels (1955). His career started downhill in the 1970s, with him appearing in a string of low-budget films as a character actor. His last film was Shock 'Em Dead (1991). Ray was married three times, with one daughter Claire born in 1951 to his first wife Shirley Green whom he married on on 20 June 1947. Ray was then briefly married to actress Jeff Donnell and then had two sons and a daughter with his third wife, Johanna Ray, one of whom is the actor Eric DaRe. Aldo Ray died of throat cancer on 27 March 1991.

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. Saskia Burmeister (born 12 February 1985 in New South Wales) is an Australian actress. She is most known for her roles in Hating Alison Ashley and Sea Patrol. Burmeister grew up in Bellingen on the Mid-North Coast of New South Wales. She was educated at Mosman High School in Sydney and trained at the Australian Theatre for Young People. During high school she performed in various theatre productions including Blackrock, The Merchant of Venice and Chapel Perilous. Burmeister received the 2006 Australian Film Institute Award for "Best Guest or Supporting Actress in a Television Series" for her performance in episode 493 of Blue Heelers and in 2005 she was nominated for the "Best Lead Actress" Australian Film Institute Award for her performance in Hating Alison Ashley. In 2008 she was nominated for a Film Critics Circle of Australia Award for the "Best Actress in a Supporting Role" for her performance in The Jammed. In February 2008, Burmeister married Australian actor Jamie Croft. Most recently, Burmeister appeared in a TV commercial promoting Flickerfest 2010. Michael "Mick" Foley is a retired American professional wrestler and author, currently signed to WWE under its "Legends" program as an ambassador. Foley worked for several wrestling promotions including WWE, WCW, ECW, TNA, and NWA, as well as in Japan. A key figure of the Attitude Era and regarded as one of the greatest wrestlers in history, Foley participated in WrestleMania's main events in 1999 and 2000 and was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2013. Foley wrestled under various personas: Cactus Jack, Mankind, and Dude Love, collectively known as the "Three Faces of Foley." Notably, he entered the 1998 Royal Rumble three times under these different personas. Foley is a four-time world champion and an 11-time world tag team champion. Paul Robert Methric is an American rapper and producer from Detroit, Michigan, also known as Monoxide Child of the rap group Twiztid. He started his musical career in 1992 as an original member of House of Krazees under the pseudonym Hektic. Along with Mr. Bones and The R.O.C., the original House of Krazees released five albums between 1993 and 1996. Problems with the group's label, Latnem Entertainment, led House of Krazees to leave the label, and the group disbanded after its 1996 album Head Trauma. However, they reunited on the song "Monstrosity" off of Twiztid's A New Nightmare EP in 2013 and they planned on releasing new music in 2018. After receiving an offer from Insane Clown Posse to join Psychopathic Records in 1997, Spaniolo and Methric accepted and reemerged as Twiztid. Upon signing with the label, the duo revamped their image, and set out to prove themselves to the Juggalo fanbase. Anu Lamp (born March 29, 1958) is an Estonian stage, film, television and voice actress, stage director, translator and instructor. Anu Lamp was born in Tallinn. She graduated from secondary school in 1976 at the Tallinn 7th Secondary School (now, the Tallinn English College). From 1976 until 1978, she studied philology at University of Tartu before studying acting under instruction of Aarne Üksküla at the Tallinn State Conservatory (now, the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre), graduating in 1982. Among her graduating classmates were Margus Oopkaup, Jaan Rekkor, Laine Mägi, Sulev Teppart, Andrus Vaarik, and Viire Valdma. In June 2016, she graduated from the Institute of Theology of the Estonian Evangelical Lutheran Church with a master's degree in theology.

Harmony Blossom

Biography

Harmony Blossom was named by her parents Joan Marie Witte;a graphic artist and schoolteacher; and Start Gregory Clark; environmental consultant, singer-songwriter and the man who started corporate sponsored residential curbside recycling. Her Grandfather Norbert F. Witte was one of the NASA engineers who designed the first space shuttle. Her other Grandfather Russell Clark was a psychology professor at Yale University by age 28. Harmony has two brothers, Blue Morningstar Clark; and Shawn Peter Clark. Born and raised in the Redwood Forest along the Russian River, Harmony spent her summers picking blackberries and swimming in the wild. Harmony attended Summerfield Waldorf school for her first two years. She then moved into public school at Westside elementary in beautiful Sonoma County, California where learned the ukulele at age 8 and found her love for the Theater during the community production of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory as Veruca Salt at age 9. Her first professional play was at the Luther Burbank Center for the Arts (now Wells Fargo CFTA) at age 14. Harmony moved to Santa Monica after high school and a couple years later joined and dedicated herself to the American Repertory Company with run by the late great Manu Tupou (1995-1999). Landed her first commercial and entry into the Screen Actor's Guild in 1999. Starred in the Playwright's Arena's production of Alan Bowne's Beirut as 'Blue' in 1998. Her first lead role in a feature film was the same year in the independent flick 'Triples'. Harmony speaks and sings in Spanish, plays acoustic guitar, and has been known to build and sculpt wood furniture. She also has a degree in Ayurvedic Nutrition and has practiced Yoga since a small child.
