Biography

Jane Elizabeth Leeves (born 18 April 1961) is an English actress, comedian, and dancer. She is best known for her role as Daphne Moon on NBC's sitcom Frasier (1993–2004), for which she was nominated for an Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award. She's also known for her roles as Dr. Kitt Voss on The Resident and Joy Scroggs on TV Land's sitcom Hot in Cleveland. She made her screen debut with a small role in the 1983 popular British comedy television show Benny Hill Show, Leeves moved to the United States, where she performed in small roles until she secured a recurring part in the television sitcom Murphy Brown. In 1986-1988, she garnered her first leading role in the short-living sitcom Throb. In 1993, she achieved wider fame as Daphne Moon on the television sitcom Frasier for the entire run of the series, from 1993 until 2004, for which she was nominated for Emmy Awards and Golden Globe Awards during the show's run. She received further recognition for her performances in Miracle on 34th Street (1994), Music of the Heart (1999) and The Event (2003). She worked in television production for some time, but beginning in June 2010, she returned to acting, as Joy on TV Land’s sitcom Hot in Cleveland.

Kimberly Nixon

Biography

Kimberly Nixon is a transgender woman who filed a human rights complaint against Vancouver Rape Relief & Women's Shelter Society (VRRS) for discrimination. VRRS argued that Nixon, a transgender woman, did not have the same life experiences as a woman who was assigned female at birth, and could not volunteer as a peer rape counselor. She brought her case to the British Columbia Human Rights Tribunal which ruled in her favour. VRRS opposed the decision, bringing it to the Supreme Court of British Columbia, which ruled against the original tribunal decision. Nixon then appealed to the British Columbia Court of Appeal, which upheld the decision in favour of VRRS, and then eventually the Supreme Court of Canada, which dismissed her request to appeal the decision against her case on February 1, 2007

Douglas Clayton Durdle is an English professional wrestler, better known by his ring name Doug Williams. He is best known for his work in Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA), where he was a one–time Television Champion, two–time X Division Champion and a two-time tag team champion, having held the TNA World Tag Team Championship and the IWGP Tag Team Championship once each as part of The British Invasion. He also worked as a trainer for TNA's developmental territory Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW), where he was a one-time OVW Heavyweight Champion. Sir Thomas Sean Connery (August 25, 1930 - October 31, 2020) was a Scottish actor and producer who won an Academy Award, two BAFTA Awards (one being a BAFTA Academy Fellowship Award), and three Golden Globes, including the Cecil B. DeMille Award and a Henrietta Award. Connery was the first actor to portray the character James Bond in film, starring in seven Bond films (every film from Dr. No to You Only Live Twice, plus Diamonds Are Forever and Never Say Never Again), between 1962 and 1983. In 1988, Connery won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in The Untouchables. He was voted by People magazine as both the “Sexiest Man Alive" in 1989 and the "Sexiest Man of the Century” in 1999. He received a lifetime achievement award in the United States with a Kennedy Center Honor in 1999. Connery was knighted in the 2000 New Year Honours for services to film drama. On October 31, 2020, it was announced that Connery had died at the age of 90.

SF, B-movie horror, superhero, kung fu action.... The movies of Kiyoki Uchida, enrolled in the Kawaguchi Art School of Waseda University, are inlaid with the essence of a variety of movie genres. Uchida first became interested in movies in junior high school. Due to his grandfather, who ran a camera store, Uchida had spent much time in a dark room since childhood. Before long, his interest shifted from photographs to movies, and he began to harbor a yearning for science fiction films such as Star Wars and Back to the Future. Once he moved on to high school, Uchida established a movie club, and began immersing himself in the world of making his own movies together with friends. At first, Uchida’s films referenced French New Wave cinema, which focused on low budgets and quick filming, but as his club aimed to make more and more professional films, the flaws in their filming technology and acting began to show through. That’s when Uchida began modeling his films after early SF and B-movie horror films, which were also low budget movies.

Kevin Andrew Ketcham was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota , he is of Scandinavian (Swedish, Norwegian) decent. Shortly after birth his family moved Memphis, TN where he was raised and started acting at age 14 while attending the fine arts high school Germantown. He trained and studied fro 4 years under the watchful eyes of Frank Bluestein (USA Today top 40 teacher, and Mcdonalds teacher of the year), as well as Russian Award winning producer/director Leonid Mazor . Other notable alumni of the Germantown Fine Arts department include Chris Parnell (SNL, Anchorman, 30 Rock), Missi Pyle (Big Fish, Dodgeball, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory), Scott Genkinger (Emmy award winning head casting director of Desperate Housewives), Wes Day (Blue Man Group/New York). Abhishek Kapoor is an Indian film actor, writer and director. He started his career as an actor in Uff!Yeh Mohabbat in 1996, opposite Twinkle Khanna, directed by Vipin Handa, and after two more films, he made his directorial début with Aryan in 2006, which despite getting him critical acclaim for direction, did not do well at the box-office. In 2008, he directed Rock On!!, for which he also wrote the screenplay based on his own story. Dave Armstrong

Dave Armstrong is a British climber. He was one of the leading climbers active in the Lakeland Fells during the 1970s and 80s, often cited alongside Pete Whillance and Pete Botterill in historical discussions about the Lake District, particularly regarding the Climbing Fell & Rock Climbing Club guidebooks and the development of extreme trad climbing in the area. He is presented as a top-level climber, committed to numerous hard routes in traditional terrain, and has made a significant number of first ascents and repeats on crags such as Borrowdale and Wasdale. In the 1950 Channel 4 series "Lakeland Rock," he is seen climbing the route "Incantations," graded E6 6b, on the Tophet Wall at Wasdale with Pete Whillance, confirming his role in the development of high-level trad climbing in the Lakes during this period. Historical discussions often associate him with the "trio" Armstrong / Whillance / Botterill when discussing the climbers who marked the Lakeland scene in the mid- to late-1970s, suggesting a significant influence on local style and ethos.
