Iraj Tahmasb (ایرج طهماسب) was born in 1959 in Tehran. He is an Iranian actor, screenwriter, and director of several TV series and films. He is best known for co-creating the popular puppet character Kolah Ghermezi. His active professional career began in 1979 with stage performances and directing in theatre. Inspired by the revolutionary atmosphere of the period, Iraj Tahmasb staged a number of politically controversial plays including An Eye for an Eye, The Bear That Wanted to Remain a Bear, Olduz and the Crows, A Pair of Shoes for Zahara and A Delicate Story.

Tone Sekelius

Biography

Tone Sekelius, born Thomas Peter Sekelius on July 16, 1997, in Maria Parish, Växjö, Kronoberg County, is a Swedish music artist and YouTuber, known for making videos about makeup. Sekelius released her debut single "Awakening" in 2017, describing the experience of coming out as gay. Later that year, the single "One More in the Crowd" was released, which became the official song for Stockholm Pride 2017. She made her TV debut as a music artist on TV4's Sommarkrysset on July 29, 2017, performing "One More in the Crowd." In February 2021, Sekelius came out as transgender in an interview with Aftonbladet and shared her name change to Tone. She simultaneously released a video titled Jag är trans on YouTube and a documentary (Mitt namn är Tone) on the web TV service Discovery+. Sekelius participated in Melodifestivalen 2022, where she performed the song "My Way" in the second semifinal. The song qualified for the semifinal and later for the final, where she placed fifth. In 2022, she also hosted the TV show Paradise. In Melodifestivalen 2023, Sekelius reached the final directly with her entry "Rhythm of My Show" after finishing second in the first semifinal. In 2024, Sekelius won the VIP edition of the Swedish cooking competition show Sveriges mästerkock.

Biography

Susanne Beyers is a South African actress and writer best known for her roles in Afrikaans television drama series, including Arende, Onder Draai die Duiwel Rond, Soutmansland and Hart van Staal. Other television series she has acted in include Dennekruin 12, Seders val in Lebanon, Die Man met die Lyk om sy Nek, Jasper Le Feuvre, Samaritaan and Beyond Return. Susanne did a BDrama degree at the University of Stellenbosch. Theatre credits include the Merchant of Venice, Much Ado About Nothing and various productions for National Festivals, including Die Uurwerk Kantel, Drafstap of Drentel, Dalk is ons almal so, Susanna die Geliefde and Moeders en Dogters. She has also done extensive work in children's theatre and played a minor role in the 1997 made-for-TV movie Mandela and de Klerk, playing T.V. Reporter #2. In addition to her acting Susanne also writes a weekly column for Die Burger newspaper, in which she does a round-up of theatre happenings and interviews theatre personalities. Susanne joined the cast of the SABC2 drama series Erfsondes for its second season (2009) in the role of Ansie Labuschagne.

Maggie Poon Mei-Kei

Maggie Poon Mei-Kei, who played “Bean Curd” in the movie ‘Spacked Out’, had no previous acting experience. Originally, she only accompanied her classmates to audition at Milky Way Image. She did not participate in the audition, but a staff member saw her, took her phone number, and took a few photos for the record. However, director Lawrence Ah-Mon gave up on her in the first round of interviews because he felt she looked too much like a doll and not like an ordinary person, so Maggie was not originally among the main cast. But assistant director Four Tse Liu-Shut met Maggie while filming an advertisement before shooting ‘Spacked Out’. She played a rebellious girl very well. Four Tse Liu-Shut showed the advertisement to the director, Lawrence agreed with her performance, and asked Maggie to play the role of “Bean Curd”. After ‘Spacked Out’, Maggie was invited by director Soi Cheang to play the female lead ‘May’ in the movie ‘Diamond Hill’, and then filmed the horror film ‘Inner Senses’ directed by Chi-Leung Law, where she played Cheung Siu Yu. In the movie, Maggie had several scenes with Leslie Cheung. Her last film was director Wilson Yip Wai-Shun’s ‘SPL’, after which she faded from the screen.

Orianthi Penny Panagaris (born 22 January 1985 in Adelaide, South Australia), known professionally as Orianthi, is a Greek-Australian musician, singer-songwriter, and guitarist. She is widely recognized for her virtuoso guitar skills, gaining international attention as Michael Jackson’s lead guitarist for his planned “This Is It” concerts and later as a member of Alice Cooper’s touring band. As a solo artist, she has released several albums, including “Violet Journey” (2007), “Believe” (2009), “Heaven in This Hell” (2013), and “O” (2020), along with the EP “Fire” (2011). Her most successful single, “According to You,” became a global hit. Orianthi showed musical talent at an early age, beginning piano at three and switching to guitar at six, encouraged by her father. She later focused on electric guitar and songwriting in her teens, performing internationally and sharing the stage with Steve Vai at just 15. These early experiences helped launch her professional career. Her debut album, “Violet Journey,” featured her as a multi-instrumentalist and producer, but her breakthrough came with “Believe” and its lead single “According to You,” which charted in several countries, including the United States and Australia. Mikhail Rumyantsev

Mikhail Nikolayevich Rumyantsev (Russian: Михаил Николаевич Румя́нцев) (10 December 1901 – 31 March 1983), better known under his stage name Karandash (Russian: Каранда́ш which means pencil), was a famous Soviet clown. He was a People's Artist of the USSR and a Hero of Socialist Labour, and was the teacher of the famous Russian clowns Oleg Popov and Yuri Nikulin. Starting his career in the circus arena as the imitator of Charlie Chaplin, Mikhail Rumyantsev then abandoned it for, or rather, transformed that part into his would-be renowned image of Karandash always accompanied with his hallmark Scottish Terrier named Klyaksa (which means blot). He enjoyed immense popularity with the Soviet audience and often gathered full houses all over the country. Rumyantsev taught his profession to both Oleg Popov and Yuri Nikulin. During the Second World War, Rumyantsev mimicked German soldiers. In 1960, he toured South America with the Moscow Circus on Tsvetnoy Boulevard. Altogether Karandash had worked in the circus for 55 years, the last time he appeared in the arena was just two weeks prior to his death. The Moscow Circus School was named after him. (Wiki)
