Biography

Claire Paoletti is a screenwriter and author. After training in cinema and art history at university, Paoletti worked on numerous series, particularly in animation. She then turned to feature films with All at the Top of the World, directed by Rémi Chayé. Claire also participates in short films including Bang, Bang! by Julien Bisaro. At the same time, she published a children's novel Mark Logan and created a collection entitled Fée en herbe. In 2016, she co-founded Picolo Pictures with Julien Bisaro.

Sir Thomas Sean Connery (August 25, 1930 - October 31, 2020) was a Scottish actor and producer who won an Academy Award, two BAFTA Awards (one being a BAFTA Academy Fellowship Award), and three Golden Globes, including the Cecil B. DeMille Award and a Henrietta Award. Connery was the first actor to portray the character James Bond in film, starring in seven Bond films (every film from Dr. No to You Only Live Twice, plus Diamonds Are Forever and Never Say Never Again), between 1962 and 1983. In 1988, Connery won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in The Untouchables. His films also include Marnie (1964), Murder on the Orient Express (1974), The Man Who Would Be King (1975), A Bridge Too Far (1977), Highlander (1986), Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989), The Hunt for Red October (1990), Dragonheart (1996), The Rock (1996), and Finding Forrester (2000). Connery was polled in a 2004 The Sunday Herald as "The Greatest Living Scot" and in a 2011 EuroMillions survey as "Scotland's Greatest Living National Treasure". He was voted by People magazine as both the “Sexiest Man Alive" in 1989 and the "Sexiest Man of the Century” in 1999. He received a lifetime achievement award in the United States with a Kennedy Center Honor in 1999. Connery was knighted in the 2000 New Year Honours for services to film drama. On October 31, 2020, it was announced that Connery had died at the age of 90.

Timothy Bottoms

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. Timothy James Bottoms is an American actor and film producer. He is best known for playing the lead in Johnny Got His Gun; Sonny Crawford in The Last Picture Show; The Paper Chase; and for playing President George W. Bush multiple times, including on the sitcom That's My Bush!; in the comedy film The Crocodile Hunter: Collision Course and the docudrama DC 9/11: Time of Crisis. Bottoms made his film debut in 1971 as Joe Bonham in Dalton Trumbo's Johnny Got His Gun. The same year, he appeared alongside his brother Sam in The Last Picture Show. (He portrayed the same character in the 1990 sequel Texasville). In 1973's The Paper Chase, he starred as Harvard law student Hart facing the fearsome Professor Kingsfield (John Houseman). Among the other films he has appeared in are Love and Pain and the Whole Damn Thing, The Crazy World of Julius Vrooder, Operation Daybreak, A Small Town in Texas, Rollercoaster, Hurricane, Invaders from Mars and Elephant. Bottoms has portrayed U.S. President George W. Bush in three widely varying productions. In 2000 and 2001, he played a parody of Bush in the Comedy Central sitcom That's My Bush!; he subsequently appeared as Bush in a cameo appearance in the family film The Crocodile Hunter: Collision Course. Finally, following the September 11 attacks, Bottoms once again played Bush, this time in a serious fashion, in the TV film DC 9/11: Time of Crisis, one of the first films to be based upon the attacks. During an episode of the Fox television show That '70s Show in which a tornado warning has been issued and the students of the high school are trapped, Bottoms is seen as the panicking principal. He appeared in a recurring role during the first season of the FX series Dirt as Gibson Horne, who owned the magazine that series main character Lucy Spiller worked for. He also co-produced the documentary Picture This – The Times of Peter Bogdanovich in Archer City, Texas, a behind-the-scenes work about the making of the films The Last Picture Show and Texasville. In the documentary, he revealed that he had a crush on his co-star Cybill Shepherd during The Last Picture Show, but she did not reciprocate his romantic feelings, even though she said in a separate interview that she found him "very attractive". He was also heavily featured in the Metallica video for "One", which featured footage of the film Johnny Got His Gun. Georges Livanos

Biography

Georges Livanos, known as "Le Grec", born September 25, 1923 in Marseille and died in the same city on May 21, 2004, was a French mountaineer of Greek origin. After a childhood in Marseille, Georges Livanos discovered the high mountains in Chamonix in 1937 at the age of 14, as well as climbing in the creeks of Marseille. Most of his sporting career took place between 1941 and 1971, a period during which he opened some 500 routes in the creeks of Marseille, 40 in the Dolomites and around twenty in the Western Alps. It also repeats a number of major routes in these last two massifs. Georges and his wife, Sonia, collect an impressive series of firsts, female firsts and repeat firsts which have earned them the nickname "the most sestogrado couple in the world" (the sestogrado or sixth degree, representing the level of maximum difficulty in climbing up to in the late 1970s). In 1941, Georges Livanos made several notorious first ascents with Gaston Rebuffat, including the Centrale at Grande Candelle, “the longest 6th degree in the Calanques”. In 1945, enrolled in a mountain camp at Jeunesse et Montagne, he succeeded with his course director, Jean Franco, the 3rd ascent of the southern pillar of the Écrins in 4 hours. In the following years, Georges Livanos frequented the Mont-Blanc massif where he made, among other things, in 1946 the 5th ascent of the north face of the Aiguille des Grands Charmoz, in 1947 the 2nd ascent of the north face of the Dent du Shark4and in 1949 the 2nd ascent of the north face of the Aiguille de Leschaux. From 1950, he continued most of his alpine career in the Dolomites where he made many first ascents including the Cima Su Alto at the Civetta for which on his return to Marseille he received the Gold Medal for Sports.

Meiling Melançon (born March 3, 1980) also known as Mei Melançon 明依, is an American actress, screenwriter and former fashion model. She has had a prolific career with her versatile looks and abilities. She has appeared in major feature films as well as indie films, television shows, and over a hundred commercials as a model and actress. As of 2014 she is becoming known for work behind the camera in roles such as screenwriter and producer. Meiling Melançon was raised in mainly Japan, Hong Kong and Korea, she is of French, Chinese, and Japanese descent. As a child she traveled throughout Asia and Europe. Her mother is of French heritage and her father is Chinese and Japanese. At the age of five her mother taught her how to play the guitar, and she was later in a children's band called Blossoms. In an interview with Giant Robot editor Eric Nakamura, Mei spoke about her nontraditional strict upbringing. She was not allowed to watch most films and television, only classics and that they were not allowed to listen to popular music due to religious reasons. Melançon started acting in 2003. She was at that time a successful model and was signed to Wilhelmina Modeling Agency. She appeared on "Legends of Tomorrow" as Masako Yamashiro in season 2. Melançon also appeared in the final season of The L Word as recurring character "Jamie Chen," as Psylocke in X-Men: The Last Stand, as "Miyu", Kevin Spacey's assistant in Shrink, as Lynda in the HK-shot film Irreversi, as Dr. Catherine Ivy in the psychological thriller/horror film Pathology with Milo Ventimiglia, and as the other "Girl in the Car" along with Maggie Q in Rush Hour 2 when she was still modeling. Melançon also starred as Lotus Long in the short film bio-pic Keye Luke, which premiered at the 2012 Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival and which was Closing Night Film of the inaugural 2013 Seattle Asian American Film Festival. She starred in Blumenthal where she played Scottish actor Brian Cox's niece, and the film made its premiere in 2013 at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival.
