Frank McHugh

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.   Francis Curray "Frank" McHugh (May 23, 1898 – September 11, 1981) was an American film and television actor. Born in Homestead, Pennsylvania, McHugh came from a theatrical family. His parents ran a stock theatre company and as a young child he performed on stage. His brother Matt and sister Kitty performed an act with him by the time he was ten years old, but the family quit the stage around 1930. Another brother, Ed, became a stage manager and agent in New York. McHugh debuted on Broadway in The Fall Guy in 1925. Warner Bros. hired him as a contract player in 1930. McHugh played everything from lead actor to sidekick and would often provide comedy relief. He appeared in over 150 films and television productions and worked with almost every star at Warner Bros. He was a close friend of James Cagney and appeared in more Cagney movies than any other actor. He appeared with him in eleven movies between 1932 and 1953. Their friendship lasted until McHugh's death. By the 1950s his film career had begun to decline, as evinced by his smaller role in Career (1959). From 1964 to 1965 he played the role of Willie Walters, a live-in handyman, on ABC's sitcom The Bing Crosby Show. His last television appearance was as Charlie Wingate in the episode "The Fix-It Man" on CBS's Lancer western series. McHugh played a handyman in that role too. McHugh was married to Dorothy Spencer. Sean Connery

Sir Thomas Sean Connery (August 25, 1930 - October 31, 2020) was a Scottish actor and producer who won an Academy Award, two BAFTA Awards (one being a BAFTA Academy Fellowship Award), and three Golden Globes, including the Cecil B. DeMille Award and a Henrietta Award. Connery was the first actor to portray the character James Bond in film, starring in seven Bond films (every film from Dr. No to You Only Live Twice, plus Diamonds Are Forever and Never Say Never Again), between 1962 and 1983. In 1988, Connery won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in The Untouchables. His films also include Marnie (1964), Murder on the Orient Express (1974), The Man Who Would Be King (1975), A Bridge Too Far (1977), Highlander (1986), Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989), The Hunt for Red October (1990), Dragonheart (1996), The Rock (1996), and Finding Forrester (2000). Connery was polled in a 2004 The Sunday Herald as "The Greatest Living Scot" and in a 2011 EuroMillions survey as "Scotland's Greatest Living National Treasure". He was voted by People magazine as both the “Sexiest Man Alive" in 1989 and the "Sexiest Man of the Century” in 1999. He received a lifetime achievement award in the United States with a Kennedy Center Honor in 1999. Connery was knighted in the 2000 New Year Honours for services to film drama. On October 31, 2020, it was announced that Connery had died at the age of 90.

Astra Taylor (born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, 1979) is a Canadian-American documentary filmmaker and writer, best known for her 2005 film, Zizek!, about the Slovenian philosopher Slavoj Žižek, and for her 2008 film, Examined Life. Taylor grew up in Athens, Georgia, and was unschooled until age 13. She attended Brown University for a year and holds an MA in Liberal Studies from the New School. She has taught sociology at the University of Georgia and SUNY New Paltz. Her writings have appeared in numerous magazines, and in 2006 Filmmaker Magazine listed her as one of "25 new faces to watch." She is the sister of painter and disability activist Sunny Taylor, and is married to Jeff Mangum of Neutral Milk Hotel. She is a vegan. David Siu Chung-Hang entered Hong Kong showbiz in the late 80s, as a trainee of the 17th TVB acting class in 1987, in company with the Hong Kong "Heavenly King" Aaron Kwok. The road to stardom of David Siu Chung-Hang was quite lucky and smooth. In 1987, TVB held a talent contest to select actors. Be supported by his friends, he entered for the contest. Eventually, he won the champion in the contest. Immediately thereafter, TVB invited him sign up with them. Siu also wanted to give it a try, so he resigned the first job to become an actor. Joining the entertainment less than one year, thanks to his good-looking appearance and ideal height, he impressed film producers. TVB promoted him actively through leading roles in many TV series. For about five years he participated in 20 series including: Behind Silk Curtains, The Tribulation of Life, Mo Min Kap Sin Fung, A triad of lifetime, Three in a crowd, The Ruin Of War, Impossible dream, The Enforcer's Experience, A Time of Taste, Land of condor, The Greed of Man, The Link, and Remembrance. Among them, the role Ting How-hai (丁孝蟹) in the 1992 TVB classic series The Greed of Man is his featured role in his career. In 1993, he played the character Sung Man Jeun ( 宋文俊) - a rich and kind young man in the famous TV series in 90s – The Link. His character falls in love with a rising movie star (played by Amy Kwok). Their love in the film weathered many storms before having a happy ending. The chemistry between him and Amy Kwok is great and fantastic. They are a nice-couple in The Link. The success of this role helped him raise his popularity in both Hong Kong and Taiwan. Immediately, A Taiwan broadcast television invited him star in the film "Days Of Tomorrow" (天長地久). In 1995, Siu left TVB because he had not reached agreements in signing the new contract with TVB company. Later, he signed with Asia Television (ATV) a short contract. He shot some TV series’s ATV such as: Justic Bao, Coincidentally, and Beggar king. Until 1997, he decided to take leave of HongKong Entertainment. He began to devote to running a 4-wheel drive conversion shop in Hong Kong. In 2012, he returned Hong Kong Entertainment to reshoot films. A Wall-Less World III – a short film ‘s RTHK television marked his return after many years. In 2014, he shot the film " Dot to Dot". After that, he participated in "The anniversary" in 2015. In the film, he reunited with the co-star Loletta Lee after 23 years from their success in The greed of man. In April 2015, the classic TV series "The greed of man" was back on the air at late night on TVB. Once again, the film created a phenomenon for the media and audience. His name became hot again.

Rami Said Malek (born May 12, 1981) is an American actor. He is known for portraying computer hacker Elliot Alderson in the USA Network television series Mr. Robot (2015–2019), for which he received the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series, and as Queen lead singer Freddie Mercury in the biographical film Bohemian Rhapsody (2018), for which he won numerous accolades, including the Academy Award for Best Actor, becoming the first actor of Egyptian heritage to win in that category. Time magazine named Malek one of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2019. Born in Torrance, California, to Egyptian immigrant parents, he studied theater before acting in plays in New York City. Hera Hoffer, best known under the stage name Jinkx Monsoon, is an American drag queen, actress, singer, and comedian. Named the "Queen of All Queens", she has been noted for her celebrity impersonations and quick wit. In 2013, she won the fifth season of RuPaul's Drag Race. In 2022, with an all-winners cast, she later won the seventh season of RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars, becoming the first two-time winner of the show across its iterations. She made her Broadway debut in 2023, playing the role of Mama Morton in "Chicago" for eight weeks, becoming the first drag queen to perform in a major Broadway musical. Monsoon identifies as trans-femme and uses she/her pronouns. In April 2024, Hoffer legally changed her name to Hera Hoffer, but still kept her stage name of Jinkx Monsoon.

Dolores Sepulveda Camarillo (March 31, 1910 – February 8, 1988) was a Mexican character actress of film, television, and theater. She also was a makeup artist for films, and was frequently billed as "Fraustita". The daughter of actors, Camarillo was a makeup artist for films in the 1930s. She was also a makeup teacher in the Andrés Soler Institute. She was married to fellow film actor Antonio R. Frausto, to whom she owed her professional nickname of "Fraustita", or meaning "little woman Frausto" Camarillo debuted as an actress in 1915 in the theatrical play, La cara de Dios (The Face of God). She appeared in 124 films from 1933 to 1986. One of her most prominent roles in her film career is that of "Paz" in the popular 1940 Cantinflas film Ahí está el detalle. In the film, she received the sixth billing, after her other co-stars. She also appeared in supporting roles with actor Joaquín Pardavé in the Lebanese character comedies El baisano Jalil (1942) and El barchante Neguib (1946).
