Sean Connery

Biography

Sir Thomas Sean Connery (August 25, 1930 – October 31, 2020) was a Scottish actor and producer. He won an Academy Award, two BAFTA Awards (one being a BAFTA Academy Fellowship Award), and three Golden Globes, including the Cecil B. DeMille Award and a Henrietta Award. Connery was the first actor to portray the character James Bond in film, starring in seven Bond films (every film from Dr. No to You Only Live Twice, plus Diamonds Are Forever and Never Say Never Again), between 1962 and 1983. In 1988, Connery won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in The Untouchables. His films also include Marnie (1964), Murder on the Orient Express (1974), The Man Who Would Be King (1975), A Bridge Too Far (1977), Highlander (1986), Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989), The Hunt for Red October (1990), Dragonheart (1996), The Rock (1996), and Finding Forrester (2000). Connery was polled in a 2004 The Sunday Herald as "The Greatest Living Scot" and in a 2011 EuroMillions survey as "Scotland's Greatest Living National Treasure". He was voted by People magazine as both the “Sexiest Man Alive" in 1989 and the "Sexiest Man of the Century” in 1999. He received a lifetime achievement award in the United States with a Kennedy Center Honor in 1999. Connery was knighted in the 2000 New Year Honours for services to film drama. On October 31, 2020, Connery died at the age of 90.

Biography

Kevin George Knipfing (born April 26, 1965), known professionally as Kevin James, is an American actor and writer. James began his career as a stand-up comedian on Long Island in the late 1980s before rising to prominence for playing Doug Heffernan on the CBS sitcom The King of Queens (1998–2007), for which he received the nomination for Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series in 2006. In 2004, James made his first film appearance in 50 First Dates, and the following year co-starred in Hitch. He went on to star in I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry (2007), Paul Blart: Mall Cop (2009), Grown Ups (2010), Zookeeper (2011), Here Comes the Boom (2012), and Pixels (2015). He also voiced characters in the animated films Monster House, Barnyard (both 2006), and Hotel Transylvania (2012). He also was nominated for a People's Choice Award in 2017 for his role on the CBS sitcom Kevin Can Wait (2016–2018). James also appeared in several dramatic roles, including The Dilemma (2011), Little Boy (2015), and Becky (2020). Gökhan Tiryaki

Biography

Gökhan Tiryaki was born in Istanbul, Turkey, 1972. He worked for national TV station (TRT) and joined the production of several TV films and documentaries as a cameraman between 1991 and 1996. Since 1996, he has been working as a cinematographer. Bir Zamanlar Anadolu'da (Once Upon a Time in Anatolia, Turkey, Bosnia and Herzegovina), written and directed by Nuri Bilge Ceylan and produced by Zeynep Özbatur Atakan, has won three APSAs. Nuri Bilge Ceylan won the Achievement in Directing, Gökhan Tiryaki was presented with the Award for Achievement in Cinematography and producer Zeynep Özbatur Atakan was awarded the Screen International Jury Grand Prize.

Mitsuhiro Matsunaga

Biography

Mitsuhiro Matsunaga (松永 光広, Matsunaga Mitsuhiro) is a Japanese retired professional wrestler best known for his deathmatch wrestling style, having competed in memorable deathmatches in Big Japan Pro Wrestling (BJW), Frontier Martial-Arts Wrestling (FMW) and Wrestling International New Generations (W*ING). He is renowned for participating in the first-ever deathmatch in Japanese wrestling history on December 10, 1989 and is also credited for participating in a Piranha Deathmatch against Kendo Nagasaki on August 19, 1996, which has been considered to be the most popular and greatest deathmatch in Japanese wrestling history by wrestling journalists and many sports websites and Matsunaga has received critical acclaim for his performance. Matsunaga began his career in FMW where he specialized in the deathmatch wrestling style and adopted it as his own trademark style. He competed in many infamous deathmatches in W*ING and high-profile feuds with Mr. Pogo, Freddy Krueger and Leatherface in many successful deathmatches earned him the moniker of "Mr. Danger". After working as W*ING's ace from 1992-1993, Matsunaga left the company and returned to FMW where he headlined the successful 1993 Year End Spectacular event against Atsushi Onita. After an alliance with Onita, Matsunaga formed the W*ING Alliance to feud with FMW and avenge the demise of W*ING from FMW. Initially considered to be Onita's successor as FMW's ace, Matsunaga was demoted from his role and failed to gain prominence in FMW and ultimately quit the company in 1996. He then joined BJW and helped the promotion revolutionize in deathmatch wrestling and became a two-time Deathmatch Heavyweight Champion in the company before quitting in 2001.

Faye Yvette McQueen

Biography

Faye Yvette McQueen was born in Jamaica, New York. She attended Catholic School, studied dance at Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater in NYC and Martha Graham Contemporary Dance School. Faye started her own dance school at the age of 12 in her neighborhood. She performed with The New York Broadway Dancing Cheerleaders in NYC, Liberation Ensemble and Inspiration Dance Company before attending college at Goucher College in Towson, Maryland in 1979. She received a BFA in Dance Education and a minor in Spanish. Faye later attended graduate school at Southern Methodist University to pursue a Master's degree in Dance in 1984. While in graduate school she performed with "Dallas Black Dance Theater". Faye is the founder and Artistic Director of "The Dancer's Warehouse, Inc. (1988), a non-profit dance school located in Atlanta, Georgia. She travels every summer to the Tuscanny region of Italy to perform with a dance company called, "ProDanza Italia/USA. In 1988 Faye began acting. She later became a Stuntwoman through training and on the job experience. She trained with John Zimmerman's Stunt Camp in Orlando, Florida and also with Rick Seaman's Hollywood Stunt Driving School. Faye has worked professionally as a Stuntwoman on Purge4:The Island, Orange Is The New Black and Luke Cage.

Mireille Urumuri

Biography

Mireille Urumuri graduated from Michael Howard Studios' conservatory in Manhattan (NYC)in 2010. She discovered her love for the performing arts at four years old while living in Spain with her family. At the time, she wanted to become a flamenco dancer, but at six, when her family moved to Canada, she fell in love with acting and committed to the art, ultimately attending the Montreal School of Performing Arts. Mireille has pursued diverse opportunities appearing in television shows, short films, theatre productions, and commercials. In fact, some of the short films she worked on were featured in International Film Festivals: Chloe and Attie (which she also helped produce) screened at The Vancouver International Film Festival, The CFC Worldwide Short Film Festival in Toronto, Rhode Island International Horror Film Festival and at the Vimeo Festival and Awards; Mandroid has been screened at the World Film Festival in Montreal; Mars to Jupiter was shortlisted for the Guggenheim YouTube Play "Biennial of Creative Video" contest. Tetsuo Sekigawa

Biography

Tetsuo Sekigawa known in the ring as Mr. Pogo, was a Japanese professional wrestler best known for popularizing death matches in the 1990s. He began his career in New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) in 1972 and later wrestled in various international promotions, including Stampede Wrestling, Georgia Championship Wrestling, and WWC. In the 1990s, he joined Frontier Martial-Arts Wrestling (FMW), where he gained fame for his extreme matches. He also competed in W*ING and Big Japan Pro Wrestling (BJW), becoming a key figure in hardcore wrestling. After a series of injuries and surgeries, he retired in 1996 but made a comeback in 1997 to wrestle in Big Japan and other promotions. Mr. Pogo left a lasting legacy in Japanese wrestling, being one of the key figures in the development of death matches. He passed away on June 23, 2017, at the age of 66 due to complications following surgery.

Chiharu Shigematsu (重松 千晴, Shigematsu Chiharu, born May 20, 1990) is a Japanese voice actor from Tokyo who is affiliated with Tokyo Actor's Consumer's Cooperative Society (Haikyo). He graduated from Air Agency voice actor training school. After leaving Air Agency, he joined Haikyo on January 1, 2021. His voice type is tenor. Before becoming a voice actor, he was a kindergarten teacher, and it was the children there that inspired him to become a voice actor. His special skills are ghost stories and childcare. Lei Lei (1985, Nanchang, Jiangxi Province) is a Chinese animator, filmmaker and artist. He graduated from Tsinghua University in 2009, with a master's degree in Animation. Since then, he has worked as an independent filmmaker and experimental animation artist. His animated short This Is Love (2010) was awarded Best Narrative Short at Ottawa International Animation Festival. From then on, many of his short films have received awards at festivals worldwide and he has been selected for many artist residencies. Since 2017, Lei has spent most of his time in Los Angeles, where he is a full-time faculty member at the department of Experimental Animation, CalArts. Ningdu is selected for the IFFR Tiger Award Competition 2022.
