Biography

Ahmed Sabbour is an accomplished freelance sound designer with over ten years of experience in the film and television industry. After completing a BA in Audio Production at SAE Institute in Oxford in 2015, Sabbour returned to Cairo to pursue his passion for creating compelling stories through sound. With a keen ear for detail and a deep understanding of the power of sound in storytelling, he has collaborated with some of the most acclaimed directors in the region, including Yousry Nasrallah, Amr Salama, and Karim El-Shenawy. From subtle sound effects to complex soundscapes, Sabbour has always sought to push the boundaries of what is possible in sound design. Suraj Venjaramoodu

Biography

Suraj Venjaramood is a National Award winning Indian film actor and impressionist (mimic) who has starred in over 200 Malayalam films. He mainly plays comedy roles, though he has played some character roles as well. He is a three-time recipient of the Kerala State Film Award for Best Comedy Artist. In 2014, Suraj received the National Film Award for Best Actor for his performance in the Malayalam film Perariyathavar Suraj started his career as a stand-up comedian. His mimicry shows were a success with the audience. He first acted in a film named Jagapoga which was a spoof of Malayalam movies. He played the role of Pachan as well as Dadasahib in this film. He is generally regarded for his artificial mockery of the Thiruvananthapuram accent for which he is largely criticised. So far Suraj has acted in more than 100 films and have played the lead character in the films Duplicate and Thaskara Lahala. He is known for acting in the films Arabikatha, Ivar Vivahitharayal, Annan Thambi, Veruthe Oru Bharya, LollyPop, Gulumal: The Escape, Sakudumbam Shyamala, Adaminte Makan Abu and Perariyathavar. He won the National Film Award for Best Actor at the 61st National Film Awards for the film Perariyathavar, directed by Dr. Biju. The story of the film revolved around a father and son working as Municipality workers and the harsh life they face. Noted filmmaker and jury chairman Saeed Mirza, while announcing Suraj's award in a press meet, said: "Suraj has played a municipal sweeper [in the film] but it is an incredibly dignified performance. He excels in comedy but in this film Suraj has brilliantly played a reticent character. I would not have been able to sleep had his name not been in the list of awardees."

Daniel Lehmussaari

Biography

Daniel Lehmussaari is a film director who was born on the 6th of july 1976 in Gällivare, Sweden. A huge fan of Italian horror movies from the 70's-80's, with a great love of Dario Argento's work, Lehmussaari started playing around with a video camera around 1992 that he borrowed from a local association when he had just enrolled in high school, as there wasn't much to do in Gällivare, and he started to make some low budget action films with his friends. In 1995 he made his first film, a 25 minutes long gore movie called Chainsaw Charle goes to the hospital, together with his friend and fellow horror fan Oden Nilsson who would go on to star in some of Lehmussaari's early films including Death Academy (2005). Around the 2000's Lehmussaari along with Mikael Stridsson and Pauli Raitaniemi founded their own independent film studio Cruzical Film&Media. To this day all of his films have been filmed in and around Gällivare. In the 2010's Felix Nord of Monte Fjanton Creations started a series of reviews for his review show "Felix Recenserar" (dedicated to mostly bad movies that were either originally from Sweden or dubbed into Swedish) where he covered Lehmussaari's movies starting with Death Academy. Felix's reviews and eventual interview with Lehmussaari was one of many contributing factors that helped in bringing in a broader audience to Lehmussaari's films. Around 2016 Lehmussaari met Roger Bergström who's usually the chairman of the Arctic Light Film Festival who is also rather fond of Lehmussaari's work and the Arctic Light Film Festival has showcased his films on multiple occasions and has become a staplein their program. Bergström ended up in contact with organisers of the Dead North Film Festival which he thought Lehmussaari and his team should make a short film for the festival which they did and Lehmussaari ended up winning a best scare award. Lehmussaari is currently working on Death Academy 2 which is set to release in 2025.

Biography

Luiza de Andrade is a passionate constantly evolving professional that has graduated in Cinema at FAAP (2010) in São Paulo and has attended many courses to perfect her work, including a movie editing course in Santa Barbara (California). As a director she has already released, among others, the short film ALL FOR REAL, the dance video HOPELLES and the short THE BOUNDARIES WITHIN, which were selected for festivals in Brazil and abroad. De Andrade has also been shortlisted by MOFILM at the CHEVROLET COURAGE CANNES 2015 with the film "BE BRAVE". Jean Villepique is originally from New Jersey and moved to the Midwest to study theater at Northwestern University following high school. She performed at the iO Chicago for many years and wrote and performed five reviews for The Second City on their stages. She has improvised at UCB in New York and LA and performs at various venues and grocery stores with Kit Pongetti as their musical duo, "The Artists," covering light rock songs you might hear in the finest elevators. Darren Barnet (born April 27, 1991) is an American actor. He was born in Los Angeles, California but grew up primarily in Orlando, Florida. His mother is of Swedish and Japanese descent, while his father is of German and Cherokee descent. His first screen role was in 2017 when he played a role in an episode of the NBC series, This Is Us. Lange was nominated for the Best Supporting Actress Golden Globe and the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her portrayal of Selena Cross in the 1957 film Peyton Place. In 1969 and 1970, she won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for her role as Carolyn Muir in the sitcom The Ghost & Mrs. Muir. Margaret Booth

Biography

Margaret Booth (January 16, 1898 – October 28, 2002) was an American film editor. Born in Los Angeles, she started her Hollywood career as a 'patcher', editing films by D. W. Griffith, around 1915. Her brother was actor Elmer Booth. Later she worked for Louis B. Mayer when he was an independent film producer. When Mayer merged with others to form Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer in 1924, she worked as a director's assistant with that company. She edited several films starring Greta Garbo, including Camille (1936). Booth later edited such diverse films as Mutiny on the Bounty (1935, for which she was nominated for an Academy Award). A few films associated with her are Wise Girls (1929), A Yank at Oxford (1938), The Way We Were (1973), The Sunshine Boys (1975), The Goodbye Girl (1977), The Cheap Detective (1978), and Seems Like Old Times (1980). She was supervising editor and associate producer on several films for producer Ray Stark, culminating with executive producer credit on The Slugger's Wife in 1985 when she was 87 years old. She received an Academy Honorary Award from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in 1978 for her work in film editing. She is the longest-lived person ever to have been given an Oscar. In 1983 she was awarded the Women in Film Crystal Award for outstanding women who, through their endurance and the excellence of their work, have helped to expand the role of women within the entertainment industry. In 1990, Booth was honoured with the American Cinema Editors Career Achievement Award. Margaret Booth died in 2002, aged 104, from complications of a stroke. She is interred at Inglewood Park Cemetery, Inglewood, California.

Sean Lawlor

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. Sean Lawlor (January 25, 1954 – October 10, 2009), was an Irish character actor and playwright. He was best known for his portrayal of Malcolm Wallace in Mel Gibson's Oscar-winning epic, Braveheart. In addition, he also appeared in James Cameron's Titanic and Jim Sheridan's In the Name of the Father. Other recent roles include Martin O Toole in "On Broadway" and Earl Leofric in "1066". Irish television viewers will know him from his role in RTE's 1980's series, "Bracken" as well as parts in many Irish films. He produced plays for the stage include the one man play, "The Watchman", which he also wrote. As a stage actor his significant roles include Jap Kavanagh in "The Kings of the Kilburn High Road" for Waterford's Red Kettle Theatre company with whom he worked with on numerous occasions. Dick Pope

Biography

Richard Campbell Pope (August 3, 1947 – October 21, 2024) was a British cinematographer, known for his work with director Mike Leigh. Born in Bromley, Richard Campbell Pope took an early interest in photography. He trained at the Pathé lab in London, and began his career in 1968 working as a camera operator on documentaries. He began working as a cinematographer on feature films in the 1980s. He began his collaboration with Mike Leigh in 1990's Life is Sweet, and continued to work with him for over thirty years, until Hard Truths (2024).
