Claude Schnell

Biography

Claude Schnell (born May 17, 1955) is an American keyboardist who has been a member of the bands Magic, Rough Cutt, Dio, and Last in Line. Upon arriving in Los Angeles in the early 1980s, it was not long before his virtuoso talents were in high demand. He formed two promising bands, Magic and Rough Cutt. By 1983, his musical diligence and precision had earned him a reputation as one of L.A.'s most serious and well-respected players. He joined Dio in May 1983 and first played with them on the Holy Diver tour, though he did not play on the album itself. After almost seven years in the band, he chose to redefine his artistic focus, and embark upon his own musical Odyssey. He later became a member of the band Last in Line (from 2012-2015) with former members of Dio.

Andrea Eckert

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. Andrea Eckert (born 17 September 1958) is an Austrian stage and film actress, singer and documentary filmmaker. Born in Vienna, Eckert first studied literature in Paris, France, then decided on a stage career and trained with Dorothea Neff. Her roles have included the eponymous heroines in Hebbel's Judith, Schiller's Maria Stuart, Jelinek's Clara S., Sophocles's Elektra, Kleist's Penthesilea, and Maria Callas in Terrence McNally's Meisterklasse (Master Class). Eckert has frequently appeared on television (for example in guest roles on Kommissar Rex) and in the cinema. She also made documentaries about Lucia Westerguard, Turhan Bey, and Leopold and Josefine Hawelka. She lives in Vienna. Katerina Gogou

Biography

Katerina Gogou (Greek: Κατερίνα Γώγου; 1940–1993) was a Greek poet, author and actress. She was born in 1940 during World War II and the Axis occupation of Greece, for which she did not spend a pleasant childhood. She had a strict father with whom she lived during her childhood. Afterwards, in her teenage years, she lived with her mother. From the age of 5 years she started acting in children's plays. Professionally she debuted in theater with Dinos Iliopoulos' theater company in the play Ο Κύριος πέντε τοις εκατό (Mr. five percent) in 1961. She made her first cinematographic appearance in the film Ο άλλος (The other one / The other person). Most of the films she participated in were Finos Film productions. She became more widely known for roles of cheerful and carefree women like in the movies Το ξύλο βγήκε από τον παράδεισο (The wood came out of paradise) and Μια τρελή τρελή οικογένεια (A crazy crazy family). She has received the award for best actress in a lead role in Thessaloniki International Film Festival for the film Το βαρύ πεπόνι (The heavy melon - this phrase in Greek is an idiom referring to someone who tries to appear as a macho man), directed by Pavlos Tasios. As a poet she was known for her revolutionary and aggressive writing. She was an anarchist and her political identity was often reflected in her poems, such as "Υπερασπίζομαι την Αναρχία" (I support/defend Anarchy) or "Εμένα οι φίλοι μου είναι μαύρα πουλιά" (My friends are black birds). She also wrote some books with one of them, Τρία κλικ αριστερά (Three Clicks Left), being translated into English in 1983 by Jack Hirschman and published by Night Horn Books in San Francisco and also into Turkish in 2018 by Turkish author Mahir Ergun and published by Belge International Publishing House in Istanbul. Katerina Gogou was participating actively in the anarchist movement, especially in the Exarcheia neighborhood of Athens. She supported anarchist prisoners and participated in movements for the liberation of political prisoners. She had been arrested several times, one of which as a suspect for the murder of two police officers by the Revolutionary Organization 17 Noemvri, for which she was declared innocent. She had a bad relationship with the police, having filed a complaint after being attacked by police officers during a protest. She was married to film director Pavlos Tassios, with whom she had a daughter.Later in her life she got addicted to alcohol and drugs. She was found dead in her apartment in October 1993 due to a drug overdose.

Dale Ishimoto

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Dale Ishimoto (April 3, 1923 – March 4, 2004) was an American actor of Japanese descent. He was born in Delta, Colorado in 1923 and was raised in Guadalupe, California. After being sent to the Gila River internment camp in Arizona, Ishimoto volunteered to fight in World War II, joining the 442nd Regimental Combat Team. After two years, he was awarded a Purple Heart and given a medical discharge. After starting a business in Chicago, he moved back to California, where he grew up, and started his acting career by acting at the Altadena Playhouse. He became a "familiar figure" for playing "villainous Japanese soldiers". Over the course of his career, he acted in a wide variety of movies, such as a Japanese army captain in Beach Red (1967), a Korean doctor in MASH (1970), a karate instructor in Superchick (1973), and as Vice Admiral Boshiro Hosogaya in Midway (1976). He became famous in the late 1990s for his appearances in television commercials for Nissan in which he portrayed Yutaka Katayama, the company's former president. He also appeared in one episode of Wanted:Dead or Alive"

Bob Cobert

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Robert "Bob" Cobert (October 26, 1924 – February 19, 2020) was an American composer who worked in television and films. He was best known for his work with producer/director Dan Curtis, especially on the TV miniseries The Winds of War (1983) and War and Remembrance (1988). His early work included composing for the soap opera Dark Shadows and the two tie-in films, and composing the score for the 1972 TV movie The Night Stalker, together with The Night Strangler, which became the pilots for the TV series Kolchak: The Night Stalker. Cobert composed many game show themes. He also composed the music for the NBC soap opera The Doctors for a number of years as well as the ABC soap opera The Young Marrieds and the 1980-1981 CBS reality series That's My Line. Cobert died from pneumonia in Palm Springs, California at the age of 95.

Isaac Hernández was born in Guadalajara, Mexico, one of 11 children of Hector Hernández. Trained at Philadelphia's The Rock School for Dance Education, he has worked as a professional ballet dancer at the American Ballet Theatre, San Francisco Ballet, Dutch National Ballet and the English National Ballet where he is currently (2018) Lead Principal Dancer. Michel Blanc (16 April 1952 – 3 October 2024) was a French actor, writer and director. He is noted for his roles of losers and hypochondriacs. He is frequently associated with Le Splendid, which he co-founded, along with Thierry Lhermitte, Josiane Balasko, Christian Clavier, Marie-Anne Chazel and Gérard Jugnot.
