R. Parthiban

Biography

Radhakrishnan Parthiban (earlier credited in films as Ra Parthiepan) is an Indian film actor, director, producer and writer who works mainly in Tamil cinema. He has worked in more 50 films and has directed nearly 10 films. Parthiepan is known for having directed critically acclaimed films like Pudhiya Paadhai and Housefull and for his performances in films like Bharathi Kannamma, Vetri Kodi Kattu, Azhagi, Melvilasom and Aayirathil Oruvan. His movies Housefull (1999) and Pudhea Paadhai (1989) won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Tamil. After graduating in 1979, he briefly had a career writing short stories under the pen name of "Bharathi" in Tamil Magazines before in 1984- he became K.Bhagyaraj's personal assistant and later Assistant Director. The Bhagyaraj-Parthiban duo worked in over 40 films from 1984 to 1991. Parthiban also had small roles in several Bhagyaraj films. His acting debut was in 1992 with "Puthiya Padai" alon with Actress Seetha whom he would later go on to marry. His commercial song "Ae Kala Kala Kan Adicha Kalakala" from the film "Devathiyin Paadhangal" made him a known name. However it was only the superhit film Bharathi Kanamma (1996) which made him a star. This was followed by a National Awardwinning performance in Housefull and a number of popular films such as Thooku Sandhu, Tirupuram, Kannata Kaanadhavan and James Pandu in the late 90's-early 2000's. He also moved to comedy and had memorable funny scenes with Vadivel beginning with Bharathi Kanamma.

Oki Rengga

Biography

Oki Rengga Winata (born June 26, 1990) is an Indonesian stand-up comedian, actor, and former football player. He joined the Stand Up Indo Medan community in 2015. His name became widely known as a comedian after participating in the third season of Stand Up Comedy Academy, a competition held by Indosiar in 2017. A year later, he became the runner-up in the eighth season of Stand Up Comedy Indonesia on Kompas TV. Oki started his career as a football player by enrolling in a football school in Langkat. Initially, he played as a defender, but due to stamina issues, he was moved to the goalkeeper position. Oki ventured into stand-up comedy after joining Stand Up Indo Medan. At first, he was just a spectator. However, when the community held a competition, he decided to participate and ended up winning first place. From then on, he began practicing regularly with the community in between his football competitions. His comedic material often revolved around his experiences as a football player in Indonesia, particularly as a goalkeeper. Even when he moved to Palangka Raya to play for Kalteng Putra in 2016, he continued practicing with the Stand Up Indo Palangka Raya community whenever he had free time. Besides training, he frequently performed at local, regional, and intercity stand-up comedy events. In 2017, Oki auditioned for Stand Up Comedy Academy in Medan and qualified as one of the top 35 finalists in its third season. However, he was eliminated in the top 20 round before stepping away from the microphone. In 2018, Oki joined the eighth season of Stand Up Comedy Indonesia on Kompas TV. He auditioned in Jakarta, earned a golden ticket, and successfully advanced as a finalist. Under the new competition format, Oki was placed in Cak Lontong’s team alongside fellow contestants Haris Teguh, Yudha Ilham, Nur Arifin Ipin, and Bintang Bete. Staying consistent with his football-related material, Oki steadily progressed through the competition, even eliminating some of the top favorites. His breakthrough moment came when he defeated senior comedian Bintang Bete in the top three round, securing a place in the grand final. Despite delivering a strong performance, he ultimately finished as the runner-up. Oki is the first football player in Indonesia to transition into a stand-up comedian.

Prabhu Deva

Biography

Prabhu Deva is an Indian dance choreographer, film director, producer and actor, who has worked in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada films. In a career spanning twenty five years, he has performed and designed a wide range of dancing styles and has garnered two National Film Awards for Best Choreography. Inspired by his father, Mugur Sundar, a choreographer for South Indian movies, and took up dancing learning Indian classical dance forms such as Bharatanatyam from Dharmaraj and Udupi Lakshminarayanan as well as Western styles. Prabhu Deva first appeared as a boy playing a flute in the song "Panivizhum Iravu" from the Tamil film Mouna Ragam (1986).[7][8] He later appeared as a background dancer for a song in the 1988 Tamil film Agni Natchathiram. Deva's first venture as a choreographer was the Kamal Haasan starrer Vetri Vizha (1989). Beginning with a series of acting roles in the 1990s and early 2000s, Prabhu Deva featured in several commercially successful films including Kadhalan (1994), Minsara Kanavu (1997) and VIP (1997). After further critically acclaimed performances in the comedy Kaathala Kaathala (1998) and the family drama Vanathai Pola (2000), Deva then failed to recreate the success of his earlier films and his box office value began to decline and he subsequently made appearances in supporting roles and low budget Telugu language films. He then successfully ventured into direction with the 2005 Telugu film Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana, and the success of the project prompted further offers for Deva as a director. He then went on to make highly profitable films in Telugu, Hindi and Tamil languages such as Pokkiri (2007), Wanted (2009), Rowdy Rathore (2012) and Singh is Bling (2015).

Jaak Tamleht (February 10, 1942 – July 13, 1986) was an Estonian actor. Tamleht was born and raised in Tallinn and graduated from the Tallinn's Old Town School for Adults on 1967. He graduated from the drama school at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre in 1972. Tamleht served as a presenter for Eesti Televisioon. From 1972 to 1976 he worked at the Tallinn City Theatre. From 1982 to 1986 he worked at Vanalinnastuudio. Tamleht worked on construction sites as a truck and taxi driver when he was not working in entertainment.

Sir Thomas Sean Connery (August 25, 1930 - October 31, 2020) was a Scottish actor and producer who won an Academy Award, two BAFTA Awards (one being a BAFTA Academy Fellowship Award), and three Golden Globes, including the Cecil B. He was voted by People magazine as both the “Sexiest Man Alive" in 1989 and the "Sexiest Man of the Century” in 1999. He received a lifetime achievement award in the United States with a Kennedy Center Honor in 1999. Connery was knighted in the 2000 New Year Honours for services to film drama. On October 31, 2020, it was announced that Connery had died at the age of 90.

Sean Allen Morley is a Canadian professional wrestler better known by his ring name Val Venis, during his time with WWE. He has also worked for Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre and Total Nonstop Action Wrestling. During his career in WWE, Morley held the Intercontinental Championship twice, the European Championship once, and the World Tag Team Championship once with Lance Storm. He is a one-time World Champion having won the CMLL World Heavyweight Championship. Morley toured in Japan with New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW), losing to Hiroshi Tanahashi on March 22, 2009, and with Hulk Hogan's Hulkamania: Let the Battle Begin tour of the world which started in Melbourne, Australia. Morley returned to Canada wrestling for Championship Wrestling International, Venis defeated former World Tag Team Champion Sylvain Grenier in Lindsay, Ontario, Canada.The following day Venis defeated Chris Masters at CWI Fall Brawl 2 in Caledonia, Ontario, Canada. Morley made his debut for TNA on the January 4, 2010 episode of Impact! in a backstage segment with the Beautiful People.On the January 14 episode of Impact! Morley had another segment, complete with revamped theme music, where he explained that he was no longer an adult film star, but rather an adult film producer. This led to Daniels coming to the ring and attacking him, setting up a match at the Genesis pay-per-view. The Orchestra of the Royal Opera House was founded in 1946 on the reopening of the Opera House after World War II. The Orchestra plays for nearly all performances given by The Royal Opera and The Royal Ballet on the Main Stage of the Royal Opera House, under Music Directors Antonio Pappano (The Royal Opera) and Koen Kessels (The Royal Ballet). The Orchestra also gives occasional concerts, including a series of annual performances at the Royal Opera House with Pappano. The Orchestra has performed at worldwide venues including Birmingham Symphony Hall, Cadogan Hall, the Vienna Konzerthaus and on tour with The Royal Opera in Japan.

Lembit Anton

Lembit Anton (April 22, 1922, Laanemõisa village, Rakvere parish – June 30, 2014) was an Estonian actor and writer. He graduated in 1942 from Jäneda Higher Agricultural School, in 1947 from Tallinn Polytechnic Institute in civil engineering, in 1949 from the State Theater Institute of the Estonian SSR and in 1953 from the Estonian studio of GITIS. In the years 1946–1949, he also studied at the Tallinn Theater School, and in the years 1960–1962, he improved his skills in advanced directing courses at GITIS. He was an actor at South Estonian Theater in 1949-1950, Drama Theater in 1953-1960, Moscow Variety Theater in 1963-1966 and Vanemuine Theater in 1966-1973. In 1962-1963, he was the director of Rakvere Theatre. In the years 1973–1982, he worked as an administrator at Estonian Television, from 1984 he played as a guest at Vanalinnastudio. He has also acted in films, in ("Possessed Curves" (1959), "In the Rain and Sun" (1960) and "Stereo" (1978/1991). He has published memoirs ("On the Stage of Life Theatre" I–III, 2012, 2013 and 2014).
