Leo Gorcey
Biography
Leo Gorcey's parents were actor Bernard Gorcey (born 1888) who stood 4' 10", and Josephine Condon (born 1901), who stood 4' 11" and weighed 95 pounds; they worked in vaudeville in New York. In 1915, 14-year-old Josephine gave birth to Fred. In 1917, Leo was born, a large baby at 12 lb. 3 oz.; as an adult he would be 5' 6". In 1921 his brother David Gorcey was born. In 1935, Leo and David appeared in the stage play "Dead End." In 1937, this was made into a movie, and Leo became one of the busiest actors for the next 20 years -- from 1937-1939 he starred in seven Dead End Kids movies, from 1940-1945 in 21 East Side Kids films, from 1946-1956 in 41 Bowery Boys movies.
In 1939, Leo married 17-year-old dancer Kay Marvis, who appeared in four of his movies. They divorced in 1944 after five years of marriage; she went on to marry Groucho Marx. In 1945, Leo married Evalene Bankston; they divorced in 1948. Leo was to have paid her $50,000 in a divorce settlement; however, when two detectives she hired broke into his home, he retaliated by firing his gun at them. They sued, and Leo countersued for illegal entry and won $35,000 back. In 1949, Leo married Amelita Ward, whom he met while filming Smugglers' Cove (1948). Their marriage produced Leo Gorcey Jr. in 1949, and a baby girl they named Jan (after Leo's producer and manager, Jan Grippo) in 1951. They divorced in 1956. That year Leo married his young nanny, Brandy, who was taking care of his two kids. They had a baby girl, Brandy Jo, in 1958. The couple divorced in 1962. Leo went to the altar one last time in February, 1968, marrying Mary Gannon. He stayed married to her until his death from liver failure on June 2, 1969, in Oakland, California.

Robert 'Bob' Francis Brown is an American stunt coordinator, stunt performer, stunt double, second unit director, and world champion high diver. He has doubled for Kevin Costner, Nicolas Cage, Kevin Spacey, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jim Carrey, Sam Neill, Robert Patrick, and Brent Spiner.
Brown received three Taurus World Stunt Award nominations: in 2002, in the category Best Driving for his work on the action thriller Swordfish, shared with Scott Rogers, Gilbert Combs, Brett A. Jones, and Mike Justus, in 2005, in the category Best Specialty Stunt for his work on the action drama Flight of the Phoenix, and in 2008, in the category Best High Work on the thriller The Number 23.
In 2011, he won a Taurus World Stunt Award in the category Best High Work on the science fiction prequel Predators, shared with Jeremy Fitzgerald. Brown was also part of the stunt team which received Screen Actors Guild Award nominations in the category Outstanding Performance by a Stunt Ensemble in a Motion Picture for his work on the comic adaptation Iron Man in 2009 and on the science fiction sequel Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen in 2010.
He has worked as a stunt double for Brent Spiner in the series Star Trek: The Next Generation - pilot episode "Encounter at Farpoint" (1987), for Robert Patrick in Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991), for Arnold Schwarzenegger in Last Action Hero (1993), for Jim Carrey in The Mask (1994) and The Cable Guy (1996), for Kevin Spacey in Se7en (1995), for William Baldwin in Fair Game (1995), for Kevin Costner in Waterworld (1995), for Nicolas Cage in Face/Off (1997), for Sam Neill in Jurassic Park III (2001), for Rory Cochrane in the television series CSI: Miami (2003), and for Gregory Sims in NCIS: Los Angeles (2009).
He was a member of the United States High Diving Team (1985-1991). His diving awards & achievements include Mediterranean Cup High Diving Champion (1996) and World High Diving Champion (1991, 1989, 1988). He was also a National & World Age Group Trampoline Champion (1974).
He has been married to stuntwoman Marta Merrifield since 1996 and they have 3 children.

Mary Loretta "Mariette" Hartley (born June 21, 1940) is an American actress. She is best known for work with Bill Bixby on The Incredible Hulk (1978) and Goodnight, Beantown (1983–1984), an original Star Trek episode (1969), Sam Peckinpah's Ride the High Country (1962) with Randolph Scott and Joel McCrea, and a series of commercials with James Garner in the 1970s and 1980s.

Russell Hicks

Edward Russell Hicks (June 4, 1895 – June 1, 1957) was an American film actor.
Born in 1895 in Baltimore, Maryland, Hicks appeared in nearly 300 films between 1915 and 1956. His first appearance was an uncredited role in The Birth of a Nation (1915). He often appeared as a smooth-talking confidence man, as in the W.C. Fields film The Bank Dick (1940). Distinguished, suave and a consummate actor, Hicks played a variety of judges, corrupt officials, businessmen and attorneys, working in a variety of mediums almost until his death. Hicks appeared once in the syndicated western television series The Cisco Kid as an uncle of the Gail Davis character, whom he threatens to disinherit if she marries a known gangster.
He died in Los Angeles, California, from a heart attack.

Sir Thomas Sean Connery (August 25, 1930 - October 31, 2020) was a Scottish actor and producer who won an Academy Award, two BAFTA Awards (one being a BAFTA Academy Fellowship Award), and three Golden Globes, including the Cecil B. DeMille Award and a Henrietta Award.
Connery was the first actor to portray the character James Bond in film, starring in seven Bond films (every film from Dr. No to You Only Live Twice, plus Diamonds Are Forever and Never Say Never Again), between 1962 and 1983. In 1988, Connery won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in The Untouchables. His films also include Marnie (1964), Murder on the Orient Express (1974), The Man Who Would Be King (1975), A Bridge Too Far (1977), Highlander (1986), Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989), The Hunt for Red October (1990), Dragonheart (1996), The Rock (1996), and Finding Forrester (2000).
Connery was polled in a 2004 The Sunday Herald as "The Greatest Living Scot" and in a 2011 EuroMillions survey as "Scotland's Greatest Living National Treasure". He was voted by People magazine as both the “Sexiest Man Alive" in 1989 and the "Sexiest Man of the Century” in 1999. He received a lifetime achievement award in the United States with a Kennedy Center Honor in 1999. Connery was knighted in the 2000 New Year Honours for services to film drama.
On October 31, 2020, it was announced that Connery had died at the age of 90.

Hij wordt op 23 oktober 1921 geboren, maar wordt door zijn vader pas de volgende dag aangegeven. De 23ste was een zondag en vader Manders, werkzaam als stukadoor, wilde zijn vrije dag niet mislopen! Later blijft Tom met zijn vrouw en kinderen zijn verjaardag altijd op 24 oktober vieren.
Tom groeide op in een gezellig Haags gezin. Vader Cornelis, moeder Anna,broers Henk en Kees en zusje Annie. Na de Haagse academie gaat Tom het huis uit en maakt hij de illustraties voor boekomslagen van voordrachten en schilderde hij affiches voor o.a Circus Strassburger.
Hij ontwerpt decors voor Carré en voor voorstellingen van Wim Kan, Toon Hermans, Lou Bandy en Robert Stolz. Tevens veel opdrachten voor Uitgeverij Jongeneel in Gouda. In een atelier aan de Nieuwe Achtergracht, vlak bij Carré, werkt Tom aan zijn affiches en decors. Op de trap komt hij regelmatig een schitterende brunette tegen die elders in het pand werkt. Anne Maria Josephine Hennen (24-10-1924), kortweg Enny genoemd, zal Tom zijn grote liefde worden.
Ze trouwen in 1946 en krijgen 5 kinderen. Zonen Ronald en Thomas, dochters Marianne, Jacqueline en Laurence. Steeds vaker denkt Tom aan een eigen Cabaret of theatertje. Niet om er op te treden, maar om daar jonge dichters en artiesten hun werk uit te laten proberen met publiek. In 1952 schildert hij nog een prachtige affiche voor theater Carré dat dan 60 bestaat –het hangt er nu nog- een jaar later opent hij samen met Karel Kamlag zijn eigen artiesten cafe/theater. Op 1 mei 1953 wordt Saint Germain de Prés geopend aan het Rembrandtsplein.
Als hij zijn zakelijk partner Carel Kamlag wat gedichten van hemzelf voorleest, zegt deze hem dat hij ze zelf moet gaan voordragen. Tom heeft plankenkoorts en durft pas als hij zich kan verstoppen achter een snor en een mal brilletje. Het wordt een succes. Dorus is geboren. Het publiek komt met grote getale naar Dorus. Iedereen heeft het er over. De kranten staan er vol van. In Hilversum wordt er over gesproken en al gauw gaat Dorus met zijn hele ensemble naar de Irene studio in Bussum. Vanaf 23 april 1955 worden daar de rechtstreekse televisie-uitzendingen verzorgd.
Vanaf 1956 is Dorus ook op de radio te horen. Hij ontmoet hammond-organist Cor Steyn die 6 jaar lang zijn vaste begeleider blijft. Dorus gaat op tournee en Tom maakt talloze televisie- en radioshows. Hij schrijft zijn eigen liedjes – een kleine 100 stuks waaronder “ de motten” en “ met zulke rozen”- en sketches.
Hij experimenteert met het bewerken van bestaand materiaal. Hij monteert Dorus bijvoorbeeld in een bekende speelfilm(“High Noon”). Dorus redt dan Grace Kelly uit de handen van de boeven. In 1964 maakte hij enkele speelfilms, waarin Dorus een belangrijke rol speelt (“De wolf en zijn zeven dochters”, “De klok van Simpeldorp” en “De gestolen Willem III”). Hij pioniert met dubbelrollen en weet dit tot in de perfectie uit te voeren zoals in “ de archivaris” waarin Dorus octrooi komt aanvragen voor zijn zelf uitgevonden muizenvalletje.
In 1967 krijgt Tom de Zilveren Roos van Montreux. In dat zelfde jaar opent hij het Dorus cabaret in Rotterdam van waaruit de populaire tv-serie “Bij Dorus op schoot” wordt uitgezonden. Als Tom op 26 februari 1972 onverwacht overlijdt, laat hij een verslagen gezin en publiek achter. Tom Manders is maar vijftig jaar oud geworden als hij in het ziekenhuis een hartstilstand krijgt.

Shirley Clamp

Shirley Clamp's career began as a backing singer for various singers and groups, including Antique during their Eurovision Song Contest 2001 performance to name one.
She started her solo career in 2003, when she took part in Melodifestivalen 2003 with the song "Mr. Memory". Finishing in 6th place in her semifinal, she lost the chance to qualify for the final. Her big breakthrough came in Melodifestivalen 2004 with the song "Min kärlek" (My love) composed by Ingela "Pling" Forsman. She came fourth in the last semifinal and went on to take second place at Andra Chansen, the "second chance" semifinal, thus qualifying for the final. There she was the first artist on stage, and ended 2nd, behind Lena Philipsson's immensely popular winner, "Det gör ont". "Min kärlek" won the National Finals Song Contest. A little later, in May 2004, Shirley released her first studio album, Den långsamma blomman (The Slow Flower).
In 2005 she tried once again to win Melodifestivalen, with the song "Att älska dig" ("To love you"). Shirley won the first semifinal, but in the final in Stockholm, she ended 4th. Her second studio album, Lever mina drömmar (Living my dreams) was released in April 2005. A year later, she released Favoriter på svenska, a special covers album, containing songs with lyrics in Swedish, such as Roxette's "It Must Have Been Love" ("När kärleken föds").
Clamp appeared at Melodifestivalen again in 2009 with the song "Med hjärtat fyllt av ljus". She placed last in the first semi-final, but eventually received a Swedish #1 single with the song. She was also a commentator for SVT during the Eurovision Song Contest 2009. Shirley returned to Melodifestivalen in 2011 with "Shirley's Angels", alongside Vera Prada and Jessica Marberger, with the song "I Thought It Was Forever." The trio competed in the third heat and advanced to Andra Chansen, where they were knocked out in the fourth duel against Pernilla Andersson.
3 years laters she tried her luck participating at Melodifestivalen 2014 with the song "Burning Alive" which was composed by Bobby Ljunggren, Marcos Ubeda, Sharon Vaughn and Henrik Wikstrom.Shirley competed in the third Semi-final and came 6th for a second time, failing to qualify for the next round.This was the 4th time she didn't make it to the final, the first being on the 2003 contest.

Terence Patrick Winter (born October 2, 1960) is an American writer and producer of television and film. He was the creator, writer, and executive producer of the HBO television series Boardwalk Empire (2010–2014). Before creating Boardwalk Empire, Winter was a writer and executive producer for the HBO television series The Sopranos, from the show's second to sixth and final season (2000–2007).
In 2013, Winter wrote the screenplay for Martin Scorsese's The Wolf of Wall Street, for which he was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay.
