Ayako Wakao

Biography

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. Ayako Wakao (若尾 文子, Wakao Ayako, November 8, 1933 in Tokyo, Japan) is a Japanese actress who was one of the country's biggest stars of the 20th century. Wakao began her career contracted to Daiei Studios in 1951 as part of the fifth "New Face" group. She has gone on to appear in over 100 feature films, plus numerous television movies and series. She was a favorite actress of director Yasuzo Masumura, starring in 20 of his films. In addition to her many collaborations with Masumura, she was a favorite of Kon Ichikawa, having starred or co-starred in seven of the director's works. She appeared in Kenji Mizoguchi's A Geisha and Street of Shame. She also appeared in Yasujirō Ozu's Floating Weeds. John Biggins

Biography

John C. Biggins was born in Leeds in 1958. Having trained as a graphic designer, Biggins then studied theatre arts and embarked on a career treading the boards. Over the last 35 years, while appearing on television, radio and film, and at the National Theatre and other theatrical venues around the country, he has maintained an interest in graphic design, and - since 1999 - has run a web design business with clients drawn mainly from the literary world. As a writer, he has worked in the theatre, for BBC television and radio, and on various children's television projects. In the early 2000s he enjoyed a stint as a theatre critic. A keen collector of boys' annuals from the 1930s and 40s, in writing A Skimpton Compendium, his first work of fiction, Biggins was as much inspired by the line illustrations and covers as he was by the extraordinary stories themselves.

Sean Connery

Sir Thomas Sean Connery (August 25, 1930 – October 31, 2020) was a Scottish actor and producer. He won an Academy Award, two BAFTA Awards (one being a BAFTA Academy Fellowship Award), and three Golden Globes, including the Cecil B. DeMille Award and a Henrietta Award. Connery was the first actor to portray the character James Bond in film, starring in seven Bond films (every film from Dr. No to You Only Live Twice, plus Diamonds Are Forever and Never Say Never Again), between 1962 and 1983. In 1988, Connery won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in The Untouchables. His films also include Marnie (1964), Murder on the Orient Express (1974), The Man Who Would Be King (1975), A Bridge Too Far (1977), Highlander (1986), Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989), The Hunt for Red October (1990), Dragonheart (1996), The Rock (1996), and Finding Forrester (2000). Connery was polled in a 2004 The Sunday Herald as "The Greatest Living Scot" and in a 2011 EuroMillions survey as "Scotland's Greatest Living National Treasure". He was voted by People magazine as both the “Sexiest Man Alive" in 1989 and the "Sexiest Man of the Century” in 1999. He received a lifetime achievement award in the United States with a Kennedy Center Honor in 1999. Connery was knighted in the 2000 New Year Honours for services to film drama. On October 31, 2020, Connery died at the age of 90.

Park Hae-il (박해일) is a South Korean actor. Born on January 26, 1977, he is known for his work in some of South Korea's biggest blockbusters including Memories of Murder (2003), The Host (2006), The Last Princess (2016), Moss (2010), War of the Arrows (2011), and The Fortress (2017). Most of these did north of 5 million admissions domestically, with The Host being the biggest Korean blockbuster in history at the time of release with 13 million admissions. He has also received a variety of awards, including the Grand Bell & Blue Dragon Best Actor awards for War of the Arrows.

Timothy Frank Hartnagel (October 6, 1941 - July 15, 2024) was an American-Canadian sociologist and child actor. He appeared in the Mickey Mouse Club serial Spin and Marty (1955 - 1957) as Clarence "Speckle" Smith. Later he gave up acting to pursue a life in academics, graduating from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles and earning a Ph.D. in sociology from the University of Indiana. After serving in the army, he was a researcher at Maryland before moving to Edmonton, Alberta. He had a nearly 40-year career as a Professor of Sociology at the University of Alberta, specializing in criminology. He had two children with his wife, Patricia.

He has since appeared in Disney+'s Out of My Mind (2024) and Lionsgate's Everything's Going to Be Great (2025), and will next be seen in the indie feature The Fallers. On television, Klein has worked across major networks and streamers, with recent roles in Boston Blue (2025), Brilliant Minds (2024), and Sheriff Country (2025). Sacha Jenkins (August 22, 1971 — May 23, 2025) was an American documentary filmmaker, producer, writer, musician, artist, curator, and chronicler of hip-hop, graffiti, punk, and metal cultures. While still in his teens, Jenkins published Graphic Scenes & X-Plicit Language, one of the earliest 'zines solely dedicated to "graffiti" art. In 1994, Jenkins co-founded Ego Trip magazine. In 2007, he created the competition reality program ego trip's The (White) Rapper Show, which was carried by VH1. Jenkins was most recently the creative director of Mass Appeal magazine.

Liam Kiernan

Liam P. Kiernan is an Irish-born Canadian. He is a published novelist (Blizzard Kin and Wishbone Alley) and a prolific screenwriter based in Montreal, Canada. Liam made his directorial debut with a half-hour comedy TV pilot "A Little off the Top" (starring Sean Cullen, Greg Neale and Phil Nichol of the renowned comedy troupe Corky and the Juice Pigs) an urban comedy centered around the lunacy of three street buskers for which he garnered a nomination for a Canadian Comedy Award in 2000 for writing and directing. His yet-to-be-produced feature rom-com script "Back to the Grind" garnered a Los Angeles Int'l Screenplay Awards semi-finalist accolade for the winter 2020 competition season. He is presently finishing up Patent Pending the second installment of his planned Gibber-Jabs 13-part TV series based on the three whacked-out characters established in A Little off the Top. Projects in development include completed screenplays based on both of his books as well as several other original works. His first feature film "Science Friction", a 90 minute science-fiction picture which he directed, produced and co-wrote was launched on the iTunes platform in 2013. His second feature film "Dieorama", a 2018 noir crime picture - written, produced and directed-by, is released and available on Vimeo-on-Demand worldwide.

Deepika Padukone (born January 5, 1986) is an Indian film actress. She is one of the highest-paid actresses in the world and is cited in the media as one of the nation's most popular and attractive personalities. Padukone has established a career in Hindi films, and is the recipient of several awards, including three Filmfare Awards. Padukone, the daughter of the badminton player Prakash Padukone, was born in Copenhagen and raised in Bangalore. As a teenager she played badminton in national level championships, but left her career in the sport to become a fashion model. She soon received offers for film roles, and made her acting debut in 2006 as the title character of the Kannada film Aishwarya. He is best known for his recurring role as Jean-Ralphio Saperstein on the NBC sitcom Parks and Recreation, his starring role as Clyde Oberholt on the Showtime series House of Lies, and his voice roles as Randy Cunningham in Randy Cunningham: 9th Grade Ninja, Dewey Duck in DuckTales, and Leonardo in Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Sonic the Hedgehog in the eponymous film series and its spin-off miniseries Knuckles. He also appeared many times in the CollegeHumor web series Jake and Amir.
