Biography

Ronald is an actor, presenter, writer, producer, director, born in Holland, working internationally in film, tv and on stage. His roots are in journalism, but at the age of 29 he decided to chase his childhood dream of becoming an actor. After getting his degree from the acting academy of Maastricht he started his career on stage for a theatre company in Antwerp. He also worked for Dutch companies like ‘Het Nationale Theater’ and ‘Noord Nederlands Toneel’. In recent years Ronald has played in several international productions, both tv and film. He stars as Erik Hunter in the Nickelodeon series Hunter Street, with audiences in the United States and around the globe. As presenter he hosted more than 30 hours of television for Discovery Channel, with series like Inventing History, Legend Detectives, and Industrial Revelations: the European Story. In addition Ronald presented and co-wrote the award winning film Space Transportation: an ATV Perspective for the European Space Agency. He became a household name in the UK with the immensely popular commercial campaign for Grolsch beer (Schtop!), which ran for 6 years. Ronald recently secured a deal for a multi-million action/adventure movie. He co-wrote the script, based on his original story Danny Hudson and the legend of the Half Moon, together with the London based acclaimed writer Richard Nash. He directed and filmed his documentary Fernando Ricksen: the Final Battle for RTL about a former football player suffering from MND. Ronald also directed Food Markets: In the Belly of Amsterdam for ARTE/ZDF/RAI and produced Stella Vie: Driven by the Sun for National Geographic.

Mark Cousins

Biography

Mark Cousins is an Irish documentary filmmaker, film critic and programmer. A prolific producer and director, he is best known for his 15-hour documentary The Story of Film: An Odyssey" (2011). Cousins was appointed Honorary Professor of the University of Glasgow in 2013, as well as Honorary Doctor of Letters at both the University of Edinburgh in 2007 and University of Stirling in 2014. He is now a Patron of the Edinburgh International Film Festival, Cousins previously acted as both a programmer and director (1996-1997) of the festival. He is a Board Member of Michael Moore's Traverse City Film Festival and a Member of the Audentia Award jury at the 42nd Göteborg International Film Festival (GIFF) in 2019, as well as Member of the Official Competition jury at the 53rd Karlovy Vary International Film Festival in 2018. In 2021, Cousins joined the jury of the BFI London Film Festival.

Chiwetel Ejiofor

Biography

Chiwetel Umeadi Ejiofor CBE (/ˈtʃuːətɛlˈɛdʒioʊfɔːr/ CHOO-ə-tel EJ-ee-oh-for; born 10 July 1977) is a British actor. He is the recipient of various accolades, including a British Academy Film Award and a Laurence Olivier Award, in addition to nominations for an Academy Award, two Primetime Emmy Awards, and five Golden Globe Awards. In 2008, he was appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE), and in 2015, he was appointed Commander (CBE) for his services to the arts. After enrolling at the National Youth Theatre in 1995 and attending the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, at age 19 and three months into his course, Ejiofor was cast by Steven Spielberg to play a supporting role in the film Amistad (1997) as James Covey. He later won the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Actor for Othello (2008). Ejiofor earned the BAFTA Award for Best Actor as well as a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Actor for his portrayal of Solomon Northup in 12 Years a Slave (2013). Ejiofor's other films include Dirty Pretty Things (2002), Love Actually (2003), Kinky Boots (2005), Four Brothers (2005), Children of Men (2006), Endgame (2009), 2012 (2009), Salt (2010), and The Martian (2015). He joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe playing Karl Mordo in Doctor Strange (2016) and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022). He also voiced Scar in The Lion King (2019). He directed, wrote, and starred in the film The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind (2019). On television, he was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor for his performance as a jazz band leader in the BBC Two miniseries Dancing on the Edge (2014). He also acted in the BBC drama series The Shadow Line (2011), the HBO television film Phil Spector (2013), and the Showtime science fiction series The Man Who Fell to Earth (2022). Joseph started acting at age 13. By the age of 18, Joseph had landed over a dozen film and TV roles, along with over 14 TV commercials. Joseph's break out role was of Vittorio Innocente, playing the icon Sophia Loren's son in Capri Film's TV Mini Series Drama Lives of the Saints, with this role Joseph won the Young Artist's Award in Los Angeles California. Joseph played many recurring roles on Pax Network Doc, ESPN Playmakers, and CTV Flashpoint, in which he was nominated a second time for the Young Artist award for his work on Doc playing the role of Jordan, a teen slowing going deaf where he learned sign language. Joseph also played leading roles in the sci-fi film Threshold and USA TV net's The Promise and The Messiah. Joseph was born and raised in Toronto Canada, of Italian grandparents where he learned to speak fluent Italian.

Mark Stone is an English helden baritone, acclaimed for his performances of Wagnerian roles, such as Alberich in Das Rheingold and Siegfried at Longborough Festival Opera, Wotan in Die Walküre for Trondheim Symfoniorkester, and Gunther in Götterdämmerung at the Grand Théâtre de Genève. Željko Ivanek is a Slovenian-American actor. Known for his work in film, television, and theatre, he is the recipient of a Primetime Emmy Award, a Screen Actors Guild Award, and a Drama Desk Award, as well as three Tony Award nominations. Anne Fletcher (born May 1, 1966) is an American film director and choreographer. Fletcher took dance lessons as a child. At the age of 15, she appeared on the show Salute to the Superstars; later she moved to California, where she was trained by Joe Tremaine. She worked as a choreographer and worked in this capacity for six years with Jeff Andrews. The duo worked among other things on television work and music videos. In her first film roles Fletcher appeared as a dancer, including The Flintstones (1994), The Mask (1994) and Tank Girl (1995). Sir Thomas Sean Connery (August 25, 1930 – October 31, 2020) was a Scottish actor and producer. He won an Academy Award, two BAFTA Awards (one being a BAFTA Academy Fellowship Award), and three Golden Globes, including the Cecil B. DeMille Award and a Henrietta Award. Connery was the first actor to portray the character James Bond in film, starring in seven Bond films (every film from Dr. No to You Only Live Twice, plus Diamonds Are Forever and Never Say Never Again), between 1962 and 1983. In 1988, Connery won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in The Untouchables. His films also include Marnie (1964), Murder on the Orient Express (1974), The Man Who Would Be King (1975), A Bridge Too Far (1977), Highlander (1986), Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989), The Hunt for Red October (1990), Dragonheart (1996), The Rock (1996), and Finding Forrester (2000). Connery was polled in a 2004 The Sunday Herald as "The Greatest Living Scot" and in a 2011 EuroMillions survey as "Scotland's Greatest Living National Treasure". He was voted by People magazine as both the “Sexiest Man Alive" in 1989 and the "Sexiest Man of the Century” in 1999. He received a lifetime achievement award in the United States with a Kennedy Center Honor in 1999. Connery was knighted in the 2000 New Year Honours for services to film drama. On October 31, 2020, Connery died at the age of 90.
