Vsevolod Illarionovich Pudovkin was a Russian and Soviet film director, screenwriter and actor who developed influential theories of montage. Pudovkin's masterpieces are often contrasted with those of his contemporary Sergei Eisenstein, but whereas Eisenstein utilized montage to glorify the power of the masses, Pudovkin preferred to concentrate on the courage and resilience of individuals. He was granted the title of People's Artist of the USSR in 1948.

Michael P. Moran

Michael Peter Moran (February 8, 1944 - February 4, 2004) was an American actor and playwright.
Moran was born in Yuba City, California, but his family moved frequently because his father was a US Army officer. He gained some of his first experience under Gilbert Rathbun in the theater program at Seton Hall University in South Orange, N.J. - though he was not a student there - and at the Theater on the Mall in Paramus. He moved to New York City in 1966 and was educated at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. He became a member of the theatre groups the Manhattan Project and the Cooper-Keaton Group. Both groups produced plays written by Moran, including Call Me Charlie, starring Danny DeVito. He also appeared in several productions for the New York Shakespeare Festival.
Moran died at the age of 59, in a New York hospital, from Guillain-Barre Syndrome. He was four days short of his 60th birthday.

Makbul Mubarak
Biography
Makbul Mubarak is an Indonesian film critic turned filmmaker. The 2012 Berlinale Talent Campus alum co-founded and writes for Cinema Poetica, now an acclaimed collective of film critics, journalists, academics, researchers, and activists in Indonesia. His contributions are nationally recognized when Indonesia’s Ministry of Education hailed him Best Film Critic in 2015.
Makbul built a filmography of short films. His debut short film SUGIH/DOG'S LULABY (2015) won Best Film in XXI Short Film Festival 2016, the biggest festival for short films in the country. His short film THE MALEDICTION won the Indonesian National Award for Best Short Film and receives special mention at the Singapore International Film Festival, both are in 2018. He is currently preparing for his feature film debut, AUTOBIOGRAPHY, selected to FeatureLab Program at TorinoFilmLab.

Sean Connery

Sir Thomas Sean Connery (August 25, 1930 – October 31, 2020) was a Scottish actor and producer. He won an Academy Award, two BAFTA Awards (one being a BAFTA Academy Fellowship Award), and three Golden Globes, including the Cecil B. DeMille Award and a Henrietta Award. Connery was the first actor to portray the character James Bond in film, starring in seven Bond films (every film from Dr. No to You Only Live Twice, plus Diamonds Are Forever and Never Say Never Again), between 1962 and 1983. In 1988, Connery won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in The Untouchables. His films also include Marnie (1964), Murder on the Orient Express (1974), The Man Who Would Be King (1975), A Bridge Too Far (1977), Highlander (1986), Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989), The Hunt for Red October (1990), Dragonheart (1996), The Rock (1996), and Finding Forrester (2000).
Connery was polled in a 2004 The Sunday Herald as "The Greatest Living Scot" and in a 2011 EuroMillions survey as "Scotland's Greatest Living National Treasure". He was voted by People magazine as both the “Sexiest Man Alive" in 1989 and the "Sexiest Man of the Century” in 1999. He received a lifetime achievement award in the United States with a Kennedy Center Honor in 1999. Connery was knighted in the 2000 New Year Honours for services to film drama.
On October 31, 2020, Connery died at the age of 90.

She earned her Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from Johns Hopkins University, focusing on historic materials and conducting research at the Smithsonian and the National Institute of Standards and Technology. Alexa Chalnick (she/her) is an actress, singer, songwriter, environmentalist, and content creator with over a million followers across all platforms.
She is most recognized for her TikTok songwriting challenges and musical theater content, which has brought her national attention in both news and television.
Chalnick has also written songs for Disney Channel and has been nominated by the iHeart Radio Music Awards for “TikTok Songwriter of the Year”.

Sugandha Garg is an Indian film actress, singer and television host.
Garg appeared as Shaleen in the film Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na (2008). She played the role of the best friend to Gayatri Patel in the movie Let's Dance, released on 19 June 2009, and appeared as a student reporter in My Name Is Khan. She has played a major role of Zoya the makeup artist in Tere Bin Laden, released on 16 July 2010. She also worked as a call center employee in the British comedy Mumbai Calling (7 epi) in 2009. In 2012 the actor was seen in film Patang.
Her upcoming films include Santosh Sivan's Ceylon, Shefali Bushan's Jugni, the sequel of Tere Bin Laden and Manu Warrier's Coffee Bloom. In Ceylon (Inam in Tamil), she has played the role of a Sri Lankan refugee. About her performance in the film, Sivan stated that "nobody could have done what she has done here".
Garg has worked in television and hosted several shows and has been linked to many television personalities. She first hosted the show Haath Se Haath Mila for BBC when she was 18. She later hosted the shows Whats with Indian men along with Indrani Dasgupta and It happens only in India on Fox Traveller. She has also performed in theatre plays I Have Gone Marking and Sometimes. She performed the Assamese song "Tokari" with Papon in Coke Studio @ MTV, Season 2.

Cecil Parker

Cecil Parker (3 September 1897 – 20 April 1971) was an English character and comedy actor with a distinctive husky voice, who usually played supporting roles in his 91 films made between 1928 and 1969.
Born Cecil Schwabe in Hastings, Sussex, he began his theatrical career in London in 1922 after serving in World War I. He made his first film appearance in 1928 and subsequently became a familiar face in British, and occasionally American films, until his death. He appeared less often on television, but many of his films have remained popular and are often shown.
He acted in two adaptations of A. J. Cronin's novels, The Citadel (1938) and The Stars Look Down (1940), in addition to appearing in The Lady Vanishes (1938) and Under Capricorn (1949), both of the later films were directed by Alfred Hitchcock. Other roles were in 23 Paces to Baker Street (1956), Dangerous Moonlight (1941), Swiss Family Robinson (1960), and I Was Monty's Double (1958), as well as the comedies A French Mistress (1960), The Ladykillers (1955), The Man in the White Suit (1951), The Court Jester (1955), Indiscreet (1958) and I Believe in You (1952). Parker was also the original Charles Condomine in the West End production of Noel Coward's Blithe Spirit, a role subsequently played on Broadway by Clifton Webb and in the 1945 film by Rex Harrison.
He often played a touchy senior officer or British upper-class character, and his last two films were true to form: The Magnificent Two (1967) with the British comedy double act Morecambe and Wise and Richard Attenborough's version of Oh! What A Lovely War (1969).
He played an evil, scheming butler on one episode of The Avengers ("The £50,000 Breakfast").

Alain Marcel
Biography
Alain Marcel (1952 — 9 March 2020) was an Algerian-born French music composer and author. An important figure of musical theatre and musical comedy in the 1980s, he notably adapted the French versions of Little Shop of Horrors, Kiss Me, Kate, and La Cage aux Folles.
Marcel studied musical theatre at the Conservatoire de Tours, then at the Conservatoire de Paris. He wrote his first song in 1975 when he was a student of Antoine Vitez.
Marcel initially acted in television and films, while also composing, producing, and appearing in theatrical productions such as Essayez donc nos pédalos and Rayon femmes fortes. In total, he was involved in 570 performances. Essayez donc nos pédalos was choreographed by Tonie Marshall, and it explored homosexuality while it was still criminal.
His greatest success was in the field of musical theatre. He starred in the French versions of Little Shop of Horrors, Kiss Me, Kate, and La Cage aux Folles. He performed at the Théâtre Déjazet, Théâtre de la Porte Saint-Martin, Casino de Paris, and Théâtre Mogador.
In the 2000s, Marcel gradually returned to music, composing music for the shows Le Paris d'Aziz et Mamadou, L'Opéra de Sarah (both at the Théâtre de l'Œuvre), and Encore un tour de pédalos.
Alain Marcel died on 9 March 2020, at the age of 68.

Mohamed Touri
Biography
Mohamed Touri, real name Mohamed Besnassi, Algerian singer and theater man. He was born on November 9, 1914 in the Douirette district of Blida and died on April 29, 1959 in Algiers.
Mohamed Touri was born in Blida on November 9, 1914. He learned the Koran and Arabic language at the El Houda school in his hometown, before joining El madrassa El Houra (the Free School) of Association of Algerian Muslim Ulemas in Constantine. He returned to Blida in 1928. Subsequently, he joined the Amel Blida scout theater troupe, founded by Moussa Khedioui, as well as the El Hayat association troupe, directed by the master of Arab-Andalusian music Mohieddine Lekhal. It was there that he met many famous artists, including Dahmane Ben Achour and Ben Kerkoura.
In 1947, he joined the Algiers Opera, including the Arabic section which was directed by Mahieddine Bachtarzi. In 1956, he was arrested by French authorities for his national principles and contacts with artists linked to the leaders of the Algerian national movement. He died at Serkadji Prison on April 29, 1959. The deceased left for posterity a rich list of achievements, including films and comic songs.
The Blida theater, in Algeria, bears his name.
