Sean Connery

Biography

Sir Thomas Sean Connery (August 25, 1930 - October 31, 2020) was a Scottish actor and producer who won an Academy Award, two BAFTA Awards (one being a BAFTA Academy Fellowship Award), and three Golden Globes, including the Cecil B. DeMille Award and a Henrietta Award. Connery was the first actor to portray the character James Bond in film, starring in seven Bond films (every film from Dr. No to You Only Live Twice, plus Diamonds Are Forever and Never Say Never Again), between 1962 and 1983. In 1988, Connery won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in The Untouchables. His films also include Marnie (1964), Murder on the Orient Express (1974), The Man Who Would Be King (1975), A Bridge Too Far (1977), Highlander (1986), Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989), The Hunt for Red October (1990), Dragonheart (1996), The Rock (1996), and Finding Forrester (2000). Connery was polled in a 2004 The Sunday Herald as "The Greatest Living Scot" and in a 2011 EuroMillions survey as "Scotland's Greatest Living National Treasure". He was voted by People magazine as both the “Sexiest Man Alive" in 1989 and the "Sexiest Man of the Century” in 1999. He received a lifetime achievement award in the United States with a Kennedy Center Honor in 1999. Connery was knighted in the 2000 New Year Honours for services to film drama. On October 31, 2020, it was announced that Connery had died at the age of 90.

Nicolas Bataille

Nicolas Bataille (14 March 1926 – 28 October 2008) was a French actor and director. The son of a Parisian architect, Nicolas Bataille (born Roger Bataille) debuted as an actor during the Occupation of France while following the dramatic teachings of René Simon, Tania Balachova, and the comedian Solange Sicard. He was the first director of the absurdist play "The Bald Soprano" in 1950 on May 11 at the Théâtre des Noctambules in the 5th arrondissement of Paris. Yoo Yong-ha

Biography

Yoo Yong-ha is a South Korean singer, dancer, former member of 1THE9 and current member of WEi. He graduated from Jeonnam Technical Science High School. He appeared in the singing survival show "UNDER19" and by finishing in 6th place, he was able to join the project group. He made his debut in April 2019 as 1THE9's leader, lead rapper and vocalist with their first mini-album, "XIX". They were supposed to be active for around one year, so in August 2020, PocketDol Studio announced their disbandment. He returned to his agency, OUI Entertainment, and re-debuted in October 2020 as WEi's lead rapper and sub-vocalist with their first EP, "Identity: First Sight". They have enjoyed some popularity, especially in Japan.

Jang Dae-hyeon

Biography

Jang Dae-hyeon is a South Korean singer, dancer, former member of RAINZ and current member of WEi. He graduated from Shinjin Science and Technology High School. He participated in the singing survival show "Produce 101 Season 2" and finished in 83rd place. However, after the show concluded, fans began petitioning MNet to create a project group with popular contestants outside of the Top 10. So, the Japanese agency KISS Entertainment took over the fan request. He made his debut in October 2017 as RAINZ's rapper with their first EP, "Sunshine". The group signed a one-year contract and officially disbanded in October 2018, when they concluded the last group activities in Japan. He returned to his agency, OUI Entertainment, and debuted as a solo artist in August 2019 with the single "Feel Good". Then, he re-debuted in October 2020 as WEi's leader, main rapper and vocalist with their first EP, "Identity: First Sight". They have enjoyed some popularity, especially in Japan.

Robert Charlebois

Robert Charlebois (born June 25, 1944) is a Québecois author, composer, musician, performer and actor. Charlebois was born in Montreal, Quebec. Among his best known songs are Lindberg (the duo with Louise Forestier in particular), Ordinaire, Les Ailes d'un Ange and Je reviendrai à Montréal. His lyrics, often written in joual, are funny, relying upon plays on words. He won the Sopot International Song Festival in 1970. In 1970 he sang with Italian singer Patty Pravo the Italian song La solitudine. In the same year, he performed at the Festival Express train tour in Canada, but did not appear on the documentary film. In 1968, he had an acting role in Jean Pierre Lefebvre's film Straight to the Heart (Jusqu'au cœur). He co-starred with Terence Hill, Miou-Miou and Patrick McGoohan in the western Un genio, due compari, un pollo (A Genius, Two Partners and a Dupe, 1975) as Steamengine Bill. Thirty-eight years later, Charlebois had a cameo as Jean-Seb Bigstone, the French-Canadian Broadway producer, in the 2012 Gad Elmaleh/Sophie Marceau film Happiness Never Comes Alone. The Quebec-based microbrewery Unibroue was owned, in part, by Charlebois until it was purchased by Sleeman Breweries in 2004 which in turn was bought by Japanese beer brewing giant Sapporo in 2006. Jean Ziegler

Jean Ziegler (born Hans Ziegler, 19 April 1934) is a Swiss former professor of sociology at the University of Geneva and the Sorbonne, Paris, and former vice-president of the Advisory Committee to the United Nations Human Rights Council. He was previously Member of the Swiss Parliament for the Social Democrats from 1981 to 1999. He has also held several positions with the United Nations, especially as Special Rapporteur on the Right to Food from 2000 to 2008, and as a member of the Advisory Committee of the UN Human Rights Council from 2008 to 2012. Ziegler has authored numerous works, is a lecturer, and is well known for this sentence: "A child who dies from hunger is a murdered child." Jean Ziegler was born on 19 April 1934 in Thun, Switzerland. His father was the president of the town's court and a reserve artillery colonel. Ziegler married and had one son. He studied at the universities of Bern and Geneva and has doctorates in Law and Sociology. He also earned his barrister brevet at the bar association of Geneva. In 1952, he met Abbé Pierre in Paris, and became the first director of the Emmaus charitable community of Geneva. In 1964, Ziegler admired the Cuban rebels, and was Che Guevara's chauffeur in Geneva. Ziegler was professor at the University of Grenoble and until 2002 at the University of Geneva and at the Graduate Institute of Development Studies, where he taught sociology. He also held the position of associate professor at the Sorbonne in Paris. In 1963 Jean Ziegler was elected at the municipal council of Geneva as a social democrat. From 1967 to 1983 and from 1987 to 1999 he held a seat at the Swiss National Council. While there he was the president of the "Swiss-Third World" parliamentary group. He joined the commissions for foreign affairs, science and international trade. Nominated by Switzerland, he was the United Nations Special Rapporteur on the Right to Food from 2000 to 2008. Following Ziegler's election, the Swiss government stated that it "attaches great importance to human rights and is pleased that a Swiss candidate will be able to contribute his expertise to the committee." As one of the 18 initial members of the Advisory Committee to the United Nations Human Rights Council who were elected on 26 March 2008, Jean Ziegler served a one-year term receiving forty of forty-seven votes in 2008 to finish first in a field of seven candidates. He concluded his second term 30 September 2012, but was reelected on 26 September 2013 with a term lasting until 30 September 2016. He is also a member of the advisory board of the non-profit organization Business Crime Control which targets white-collar crime. Jean Ziegler was made knight (chevalier) of the French Ordre des Arts et des Lettres in 1994. He has an honorary degree at the University of Mons in Belgium. He was awarded the Medal of the Presidency of the Italian Republic. The Republic of Cape Verde awarded him the National Order of Amílcar Cabral, first degree. From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Alexander Younger Craig Craig (30 March 1884 – 25 June 1945), was a Scottish character actor, particularly known for his roles in Mutiny on the Bounty (1935) and National Velvet (1944). He was particularly known for portraying stereotypically tight-fisted Scotsmen. Alec Craig was born on 30 March 1884 in Dunfermline, Fife, Scotland, the son of James Chapman Craig and his wife Isabella, Craig died of tuberculosis on 25 June 1945, aged 61, in Glendale, California, US. He is buried there at Grand View Memorial Park Cemetery.

Gonçalo Contreiras is a Portuguese Editor, Director, Writer and Producer , born on 7th May, 1987 in Portugal. Passionate about Films since he was young. He studied cinema in high school and then he took a degree in cinema by Universidade Lusofona de Humanidades e Tecnologias in Lisbon. He started his career in national television, and then he start working in some production companies as a video editor, he produced his first short film "Metamorfose" in 2009 and since then he participate in many other shorts and projects. He devoted himself to directing, cinematography and editing for the past few years. In the last years he was involved in various projects, he edit a short that receives the second place in Sophia awards , and won the University festival in 2017, he did a web series with 7 episodes that we works in all seven episodes and he edited a TV show about kids, football and lifestyle for a national cable channel from FPF.

Claude Durand

Biography

Claude Durand (1938–2015) was a French publisher, translator and writer. He worked in the French film industry editing films, and occasionally writing and directing. He published leading authors such as Solzhenitsyn and Houellebecq, and together with his wife Carmen, he translated the standard French edition of Gabriel Garcia Marquez's novel One Hundred Years of Solitude. As a writer, he won the 1979 Prix Médicis for his novel La Nuit zoologique. As Solzhenitsyn's literary agent (Editions Fayard) since 2003 he acted as an intermediary with "Moscow" when Edward Ericson Jr. and Daniel Mahoney were preparing The Solzhenitsyn Reader.
