Lindsay Vere Duncan, CBE (born November 7, 1950) is a Scottish stage and television actress. She is the recipient of three BAFTA nominations and one Scottish BAFTA nomination, as well as two Olivier Awards and a Tony Award for her work on stage. She has starred in several plays by Harold Pinter. Duncan's film credits include Prick Up Your Ears (1987), The Reflecting Skin (1990), City Hall (1996), An Ideal Husband, Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace, Mansfield Park (all 1999), Under the Tuscan Sun, AfterLife (both 2003), Starter for 10 (2006), Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland (2010), About Time (2013), Birdman (2014), and Blackbird (2019). Outside of stage and film, Duncan appeared as Barbara Douglas in Alan Bleasdale's critically acclaimed G.B.H. (1991), Servilia of the Junii on the HBO historical drama series Rome (2005–2007), Adelaide Brooke in the Doctor Who special "The Waters of Mars" (2009), Anjelica Hayden-Hoyle in the BBC Two miniseries The Honourable Woman (2014), and Lady Smallwood on BBC One's Sherlock (2014–2017). She also portrayed Elizabeth Longford and Margaret Thatcher in the television films Longford (2006) and Margaret (2009), respectively.

Mina Meguro

Biography

Mina Meguro, born on March 27, 1973, in Tokyo, Japan, is a versatile actress and voice artist. She is affiliated with the prestigious Bungakuza theater company. After graduating from Otsuka Women's Junior and Senior High School (now Otsuka Nakano Junior High School and High School), Meguro embarked on her journey in the performing arts. In 1991, she joined the Bungakuza Actor Training Institute, where she progressed from undergraduate to trainee and eventually became a full-fledged member of the Bungakuza theater company in 1996. Meguro made her stage debut in 1994 with the Bungakuza Atelier production "Singer." Her exceptional performances in roles such as Filima in "Heart Broken" and Christine in "My Sister Indis House" earned her the prestigious Yomiuri Theater Award for Outstanding Actress and the Sugimura Haruko Award in 2001. Meguro shares a connection with voice actress Mie Sonozaki, a friend from her days in the theater club at Otsuka Women's Junior and Senior High School.

He had his early education in Al Ain, UAE, Al Ain English-speaking school, which was instrumental in inculcating his love for theatre. In the course of his career development, he also undertook a number of internships including one with the Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry. He is a theater actor in the region who has made a significant contribution in the field of teaching Dramatics Art at a number of institutions, including introducing IGCSE Drama to Pakistan in 2009. He also directs plays in educational institutes, notably One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest (2014) and Life of Galileo (2013) at Lahore Grammar School Johar Town campus. He runs his theatre company by the name of Real Entertainment Productions (REP) that was founded in 2000 and has done over 50 plays ever since.

Brian Southwood is a British actor known for his acting work in television, film, and theatre, often appearing in supporting roles. He is perhaps best known for playing many characters in TV series Coronation Street (1960), such as Dr. McLaren, a Registrar and a Judge in the series. He was also known for voicing the characters of Otter and Portley in Cosgrove Hall's The Wind in the Willows (1984-1990). He played Jim Threadgold in three episodes of the TV series Get Lost! (1981) and he also voiced Gurder of the Stationeri in ten episodes of the British stop motion series Truckers (1992). He also had several guest appearances in many other TV shows including Crown Court (1972-2007), Brookside (1982-2003), Emmerdale (1972) and The Forsyte Saga (2002-2003).

Sir Thomas Sean Connery (August 25, 1930 - October 31, 2020) was a Scottish actor and producer who won an Academy Award, two BAFTA Awards (one being a BAFTA Academy Fellowship Award), and three Golden Globes, including the Cecil B. DeMille Award and a Henrietta Award. Connery was the first actor to portray the character James Bond in film, starring in seven Bond films (every film from Dr. No to You Only Live Twice, plus Diamonds Are Forever and Never Say Never Again), between 1962 and 1983. In 1988, Connery won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in The Untouchables. His films also include Marnie (1964), Murder on the Orient Express (1974), The Man Who Would Be King (1975), A Bridge Too Far (1977), Highlander (1986), Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989), The Hunt for Red October (1990), Dragonheart (1996), The Rock (1996), and Finding Forrester (2000). Connery was polled in a 2004 The Sunday Herald as "The Greatest Living Scot" and in a 2011 EuroMillions survey as "Scotland's Greatest Living National Treasure". He was voted by People magazine as both the “Sexiest Man Alive" in 1989 and the "Sexiest Man of the Century” in 1999. He received a lifetime achievement award in the United States with a Kennedy Center Honor in 1999. Connery was knighted in the 2000 New Year Honours for services to film drama. On October 31, 2020, it was announced that Connery had died at the age of 90.

Gérard Watkins is an English-French actor, playwright, director, and songwriter. As a stage actor he has performed in over forty productions in Paris with such directors as Véronique Bellegarde, Julie Beres, Jean-Claude Buchard, Elizabeth Chailloux, Michel Didym, André Engel, Frederic Fisbach, Marc François, Daniel Jeanneteau, Philipe Lanton, Jean-Louis Martinelli, Lars Noren, Claude Régy, Yann Ritsema, Bernard Sobel, Viviane Theophilides, and Jean-Pierre Vincent. Among his critically acclaimed performances are Ian in Sarah Kane's Blasted, Edmond in King Lear, and Rosalind in As you Like it. In the Cinema he is perhaps best known for his role in the 2009 film Taken as Patrice Saint Clair, the sex trafficking kingpin that runs the operation that kidnapped the protagonist's 17-year old daughter, but he has also performed with directors as Julie Lopez Curval, Jérome Salle, Yann Samuel, Julian Schnabel, Hugo Santiago, and Peter Watkins. Since 1994 he has directed his own theatre company, the Perdita Ensemble, where he has staged all of his plays, the Secret Capital, Follow Me, The Tower, In the Faraway Forest, Icone, Identity, Lost, and I Don't Remember Very Well.

Kamal Abu Rayyah, an Egyptian actor. He graduated from the High Institute of Theatrical Art in 1985. In the mid 1980s, Abu Raya's career started taking shape, as he appeared in numerous television series, including The Palace, Between the Two Palaces, and With Honors. He also appeared in several films, including Fathers and Sons and Farewell My Son. He is most known for playing Qassem Amin, in the televisions series with the same name about the life of the early 20th century feminist activist. Megumi Odaka

Biography

Megumi Odaka started her career in 1984 as a voice-actress (seiyū) for the animation-TV-Series Fushigi na koala Blinky aka Noozles (USA) aka The Wondrous Koala Blinky (USA), where she played the character Sandy Brown. In 1987 she started her film career at Toho with the movie "Taketori Monogatari" aka "Princess from the Moon", where she played the role of the blind girl Akeno along with Yasuko Sawaguchi, who played Kaguya, the princess. Then she starred as Asuka along with Natsuki Ozawa and Hikari Ishida in the TV series Hana no Asuka-gumi aka "Radiant Asuka Class" (1988), based on a manga series about a 14 year old delinquent girl. Her next role was in the NHK TV-Series "Seishun kazoku" ("Youth Family") (1989). After she won the "TOHO Cinderella Contest" in 1987, where she took place with Yasuko Sawaguchi, she landed the role of Miki Saegusa in Godzilla vs. Biollante in 1989. At this time she was a second year high school student and was first afraid of the Godzilla costume. But she quickly befriended suit-actor Kenpachiro Satsuma. However, TOHO was impressed with her acting skills and she also played Miki Saegusa in the following Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah and the rest of the Heisei Series: Godzilla vs. Mothra, Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla II, Godzilla vs. SpaceGodzilla and Godzilla vs. Destoroyah. She won a Japanese Academy Award for "Rookie of the year" for her performance in "Princess from the Moon" in 1988, among others. She was one of the few actors to play the same role in more than one original Japanese release of a Godzilla film (Takashi Shimura played Dr. Kyouhei Yamane in the first two films, and Raymond Burr reprised his role as Steve Martin in the edited American releases Godzilla, King of the Monsters! and Godzilla 1985). At the end of the Heisei Series she said: "He (actor Akira Takarada) was in the first Godzilla nearly 40 years ago, before I was even born. I want to be like him at that age--if Toho is still making Godzilla movies then, I`d like to come back and appear in them as Miki Saegusa." Megumi was also a singer and released several singles, two videos, two photobooks and the two albums Milky Cotton (1988) and Powder Snow (1989). She also acted in several Live Stage Productions such as "Anne no aijou" (or "Anne no ai") aka "Anne's Love" or "Anne's Affection" in 1991, "Kiki's Delivery Service" in 1995, "Peter Pan" in 1996 and "Yana no ue no Violinjiki" ("Violin Player on top of the Roof" or "Fiddler on the Roof") in 1994, 1996 and 1998.

Víctor Rivera

Biography

Víctor Rivera (born May 25, 1944) is a retired Puerto Rican professional wrestler known for his prominent career between 1964 and 1984. He competed in major promotions such as the World Wide Wrestling Federation (WWWF), NWA Hollywood Wrestling, and in Japan. Throughout his career, he captured numerous titles, including five reigns as NWA Americas Heavyweight Champion, thirteen as NWA Americas Tag Team Champion, as well as the WWWF International Tag Team Championship and the WWWF World Tag Team Championship. Rivera was a respected technical wrestler, known for his skillful and agile in-ring style. His signature moves included the abdominal stretch, the cannonball, and the dropkick. Toward the end of his career, he returned as a heel under the management of Freddie Blassie and faced top stars like Bob Backlund. He retired in 1984 after working as enhancement talent in the WWF.
