Arthur F. Repola

Biography

Art Repola is the Senior Vice President of Visual Effects and Production for the Walt Disney Motion Pictures Group. Repola is responsible for all aspects of Visual Effects production for the studio's various banners, including Disney, Touchstone and Hollywood Pictures. In this role he has managed the visual effects on more than 80 Disney live action films, including "Pearl Harbor," "Armageddon," "Inspector Gadget" and "Mighty Joe Young." He is also the Executive in Charge of Production for the company's Large Format film business. He was previously responsible for overseeing the operation of Dream Quest Images, the Academy Award®-winning visual effects facility, which was acquired in 1996 by the Walt Disney Studios. Under Repola's leadership, Disney Studios has received three Academy Award® nominations for Best Visual Effects. Repola had previously worked at the Walt Disney Studios where he served as Vice President of Post Production for Hollywood Pictures. Following that, he co-wrote and produced a Special Venue-High-Definition, Interactive film for the Sony Corporation. This educational film details Sound and Picture technologies through the use of live-action, computer graphics and traditional animation. He went on to produce a television pilot, and also served as the Associate Producer on the 1995 fantasy film, "The Indian in the Cupboard." Before rejoining Disney, he served as Vice President of Film and Video Production for the Universal Theme Parks. There his credits included Executive Producer of the innovative 12-minute, 3D film featured in the theme park attraction, "T2 -- 3D: Battle Across Time," which was directed by James Cameron and stars Arnold Schwarzenegger. Repola began his professional career in the International Film department at 20th Century Fox. After working on the foreign versions of George Lucas' "Star Wars," he joined Lucasfilm's Marin County-based Industrial Light and Magic (ILM) as a visual effects editor, eventually being named Visual Effects Producer. During his stay at ILM, he contributed to such ground-breaking projects as "The Empire Strikes Back," "Raiders of the Lost Ark," "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom," "Dragonslayer" and "Return of the Jedi." After moving back to Los Angeles, Repola became a member of the team at Boss Films, which was responsible for the visual effects on "Ghostbusters" and "2010". He then joined Steven Spielberg's Amblin Entertainment as the Executive in Charge of Post Production, supervising the post activities for such projects as "Back to the Future," "The Color Purple" and "Empire of the Sun," among others. He also served as the Associate Producer for Lucasfilm's "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade." Yoo Yong-ha

Biography

Yoo Yong-ha is a South Korean singer, dancer, former member of 1THE9 and current member of WEi. He graduated from Jeonnam Technical Science High School. He appeared in the singing survival show "UNDER19" and by finishing in 6th place, he was able to join the project group. He made his debut in April 2019 as 1THE9's leader, lead rapper and vocalist with their first mini-album, "XIX". They were supposed to be active for around one year, so in August 2020, PocketDol Studio announced their disbandment. He returned to his agency, OUI Entertainment, and re-debuted in October 2020 as WEi's lead rapper and sub-vocalist with their first EP, "Identity: First Sight". They have enjoyed some popularity, especially in Japan.

Jang Dae-hyeon

Biography

Jang Dae-hyeon is a South Korean singer, dancer, former member of RAINZ and current member of WEi. He graduated from Shinjin Science and Technology High School. He participated in the singing survival show "Produce 101 Season 2" and finished in 83rd place. However, after the show concluded, fans began petitioning MNet to create a project group with popular contestants outside of the Top 10. So, the Japanese agency KISS Entertainment took over the fan request. He made his debut in October 2017 as RAINZ's rapper with their first EP, "Sunshine". The group signed a one-year contract and officially disbanded in October 2018, when they concluded the last group activities in Japan. He returned to his agency, OUI Entertainment, and debuted as a solo artist in August 2019 with the single "Feel Good". Then, he re-debuted in October 2020 as WEi's leader, main rapper and vocalist with their first EP, "Identity: First Sight". They have enjoyed some popularity, especially in Japan.

Tina Turner

Tina Turner (November 26, 1939 - May 24, 2023) was an American singer and actress whose career spanned more than 50 years. Known for her energetic stage presence, powerful vocals, career longevity, and widespread appeal, Turner has been called the most successful female rock artist, “The Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll,” and was named "one of the greatest singers of all time" by Rolling Stone. Her combined album and single sales total approximately 180 million copies worldwide, and over the course of her career she sold more concert tickets than any other solo music performer in history. Turner started out her music career with husband Ike Turner as a member of the Ike & Tina Turner Revue. Success followed with a string of hits including "River Deep, Mountain High" and the 1971 hit "Proud Mary". With the publication of her autobiography I, Tina (1986), Turner revealed severe instances of spousal abuse against her by Ike Turner prior to their 1976 split and subsequent 1978 divorce. After virtually disappearing from the music scene for several years following her divorce from Ike Turner, she rebuilt her career, launching a string of hits beginning in 1983 with the single "Let's Stay Together" and the 1984 release of her fifth solo album Private Dancer. In addition to her musical career, she occasionally ventured into film, beginning with a prominent role as The Acid Queen in the 1975 film Tommy, and an appearance in Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. She starred opposite Mel Gibson as Aunty Entity in Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome for which she received the NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Actress in a Motion Picture, and her version of the film's theme, "We Don't Need Another Hero", was a hit single.

Moss Hart

Biography

Moss Hart was an American playwright and theatre director. Early on he had a strong relationship with his Aunt Kate, with whom he later lost contact due to a falling out between her and his parents, and Kate's weakening mental state. She piqued his interest in the theater and took him to see performances often. Hart even went so far as to create an "alternate ending" to her life in his book Act One. He writes that she died while he was working on out-of-town tryouts for The Beloved Bandit. Later, Kate became eccentric and then disturbed, vandalizing Hart's home, writing threatening letters and setting fires backstage during rehearsals for Jubilee. But his relationship with her was formative. He learned that the theater made possible "the art of being somebody else … not a scrawny boy with bad teeth, a funny name … and a mother who was a distant drudge.

Dudley Moore

Biography

Dudley Stuart John Moore CBE (19 April 1935 – 27 March 2002) was an English actor, comedian, musician and composer. Moore first came to prominence in the UK as a leading figure in the British satire boom of the 1960s. He was one of the four writer-performers in the comedy revue Beyond the Fringe from 1960 that created a boom in satiric comedy. With a member of that team, Peter Cook, Moore collaborated on the BBC television series Not Only... But Also. As a popular double act, Moore's buffoonery contrasted with Cook's deadpan monologues. They jointly received the 1966 British Academy Television Award for Best Entertainment Performance and worked together on other projects until the mid-1970s, by which time Moore had settled in Los Angeles to concentrate on his film acting. Moore's career as a comedy film actor was marked by hit films, particularly Bedazzled (1967), set in Swinging Sixties London (in which he co-starred with Cook) and Hollywood productions Foul Play (1978), 10 (1979) and Arthur (1981). For Arthur, Moore was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actor and won a Golden Globe Award. He received a second Golden Globe for his performance in Micki & Maude (1984). Moore was awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1987 and was made a CBE by Queen Elizabeth II at Buckingham Palace on 16 November 2001 in what was his last public appearance.

Sir Thomas Sean Connery (August 25, 1930 - October 31, 2020) was a Scottish actor and producer who won an Academy Award, two BAFTA Awards (one being a BAFTA Academy Fellowship Award), and three Golden Globes, including the Cecil B. DeMille Award and a Henrietta Award. Connery was the first actor to portray the character James Bond in film, starring in seven Bond films (every film from Dr. No to You Only Live Twice, plus Diamonds Are Forever and Never Say Never Again), between 1962 and 1983. In 1988, Connery won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in The Untouchables. His films also include Marnie (1964), Murder on the Orient Express (1974), The Man Who Would Be King (1975), A Bridge Too Far (1977), Highlander (1986), Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989), The Hunt for Red October (1990), Dragonheart (1996), The Rock (1996), and Finding Forrester (2000). Connery was polled in a 2004 The Sunday Herald as "The Greatest Living Scot" and in a 2011 EuroMillions survey as "Scotland's Greatest Living National Treasure". He was voted by People magazine as both the “Sexiest Man Alive" in 1989 and the "Sexiest Man of the Century” in 1999. He received a lifetime achievement award in the United States with a Kennedy Center Honor in 1999. Connery was knighted in the 2000 New Year Honours for services to film drama. On October 31, 2020, it was announced that Connery had died at the age of 90.
