Jean Sarrus

Biography

Jean Sarrus (11 May 1945 – 19 February 2025) was a French actor, composer and singer. People know him best as a member of the legendary band Les Charlots. Sarrus was born in Puteaux. After being one of the bass players for Ronnie Bird, Jean Sarrus joined the group Les Problèmes, where he played bass guitar. The group that became Les Charlots became very popular in the 1970s and starred in several comedy films that were among the biggest commercial successes of French cinema of that decade. Sir Thomas Sean Connery (August 25, 1930 - October 31, 2020) was a Scottish actor and producer who won an Academy Award, two BAFTA Awards (one being a BAFTA Academy Fellowship Award), and three Golden Globes, including the Cecil B. DeMille Award and a Henrietta Award. Connery was the first actor to portray the character James Bond in film, starring in seven Bond films (every film from Dr. No to You Only Live Twice, plus Diamonds Are Forever and Never Say Never Again), between 1962 and 1983. In 1988, Connery won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in The Untouchables. His films also include Marnie (1964), Murder on the Orient Express (1974), The Man Who Would Be King (1975), A Bridge Too Far (1977), Highlander (1986), Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989), The Hunt for Red October (1990), Dragonheart (1996), The Rock (1996), and Finding Forrester (2000). Connery was polled in a 2004 The Sunday Herald as "The Greatest Living Scot" and in a 2011 EuroMillions survey as "Scotland's Greatest Living National Treasure". He was voted by People magazine as both the “Sexiest Man Alive" in 1989 and the "Sexiest Man of the Century” in 1999. He received a lifetime achievement award in the United States with a Kennedy Center Honor in 1999. Connery was knighted in the 2000 New Year Honours for services to film drama. On October 31, 2020, it was announced that Connery had died at the age of 90.

Tamika Lamison

Biography

Tamika is a Virginia native who graduated from The American University with a BA in Performing Arts while also studying at Howard University. While living in New York she wrote her first screenplay, "Jar By the Door", which was a Sundance Finalist and won several other awards including the Gordon Parks Indie Film Award and $10,000 which she used to move to Los Angeles after attending and graduating from the New York Film Academy where she fell in love with directing. While in LA, Tamika won several Fellowships and Awards in Writing and Directing including the ABC/Walt Disney Fellowship in Screenwriting for, "Memoirs of A Virgin Whore," The Guy Hanks and Marvin Miller (Cosby) Fellowship, the CBS Director's Initiative and AFI's Directing Workshop for Women Fellowship in which she wrote, directed and produced the multi-award winning short film, HOPE which aired on every major network. She was then hired as both a Camera Operator and Director on one of BET's first reality TV shows: College Hill. Most recently Tamika was a writer for the current streaming series "Monogamy" which can be found on Amazon and UMC. She also produced and starred in the Award Winning Feature film, "Last Life" (also known as "Rise Again") written and directed by Michael Phillip Edwards. In an effort to give back, Tamika created and founded, Make A Film Foundation (MAFF), a non-profit that grants 'film wishes' to children who have serious or life-threatening medical conditions by teaming them with noted actors, writers and directors who help them create short film legacies. Through MAFF, Tamika has produced over 100 short documentaries and 4 award winning short narrative films, working with noted actors and directors including J.K. Simmons, Johnny Depp, Laura Dern, David Lynch, Catherine Hardwicke, Theodore Melfi, Kerry Washington, Sean Astin, Rodrigo Garcia and many more. She was invited to do a TEDx talk about her journey with Make A Film Foundation, which can be found on You Tube, along with several talks about her writing process shared through Film Courage.

Catherine Frot

Biography

Catherine Frot (born 1 May 1956) is a French actress. A ten-time César Award nominee, she won the awards for Best Actress for Marguerite (2015) and Best Supporting Actress for Family Resemblances (1996). Her other films include Le Dîner de Cons (1998), La Dilettante (1999), and Haute Cuisine (2012). Frot was born in Paris, France, the daughter of an engineer and a mathematics teacher. Her younger sister, Dominique, is also an actress. Catherine demonstrated comic talent at an early age, and enrolled in the Versailles conservatory when she was fourteen and still at school. In 1974, she began her education at the Rue Blanche school and afterwards took up full-time studies at the conservatory. In 1975, Frot appeared at the Festival d'Avignon with the Compagnie du Chapeau Rouge (Red Hat Company) which she founded with the help of others. From then on, Catherine put all her energy into theatre performances in roles such as the Présidente de Tourvel in the play Les Liaisons dangereuses in 1987. She performed in a number of classical plays such as La Cerisaie, directed by Peter Brook in 1982, and La Mouette directed by Pierre Pradinas in 1985. In films, Frot won the César Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role in 1996, for playing Yolande, 'the sweet silly wife of a provincial bully' in Cédric Klapisch's Un air de famille and was funny and moving as a wealthy, rebellious nuisance in La Dilettante (1999). In 7 ans de mariage, she played a prudish banker, wife and mother, who is drawn by her bored, sexually frustrated husband into the world of Parisian "clubs échangistes" ("wife-swapping clubs"). He gained recognition for his role as Bucky Barnes / Winter Soldier in the Marvel Cinematic Universe media franchise, beginning with 2011's Captain America: The First Avenger. John Adedayo Bamidele Adegboyega (born 17 March 1992), known professionally as John Boyega, is a British actor and producer. He first gained recognition in Britain for his role as a teenage gang leader in the comedy horror film Attack the Block (2011) before he had his international breakthrough playing Finn in Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015). As a cast member of the Star Wars sequel trilogy (2017 and 2019), Boyega received the BAFTA Rising Star Award in 2016 and the Trophée Chopard at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival.  Boyega's career continued to gain momentum in 2020 when he won a Golden Globe Award for his portrayal of Leroy Logan in Red, White and Blue, a part of Steve McQueen's anthology series Small Axe. He then played King Ghezo in the historical action film The Woman King (2022) and a drug dealer in the mystery film They Cloned Tyrone (2023).
