Talal Al Najjar

Biography

Talal Al Najjar is an artist and filmmaker from the Emirates, based between Los Angeles and Dubai. Driven by researching, archiving, and distorting, his interdisciplinary practice recontextualizes material culture, artifacts, and imagery, tinged with irony. Defamiliarization and the uncanny prompt new anthropological and material questions in his work, utilizing an absurdist-alien lens. He produces sculpture, video/film, sound, CGI animation, painting, and installation, in addition to writing, curation, and other media. Primary concerns include ideas around simulation, postproduction, poor images, counter-futurisms, and the contention of postmodern conditions. He received his MFA from ArtCenter College of Design (2023), and his BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (2021). He has exhibited work in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Chicago, and Los Angeles. S. S. Rajamouli

Biography

Koduri Srisaila Sri Rajamouli is an Indian filmmaker who works in Telugu cinema industry. Known for his epic, action and fantasy genre films, he is the highest grossing Indian director of all time, as well as the highest-paid director in Indian cinema. His acclaimed filmography includes Eega (2012), the Bāhubali duology (2015 - 2017), and RRR (2022). He is a recipient of various national and international honours including a New York Film Critics Circle award, a Critics' Choice Movie Award, two Saturn Awards, and three National Film Awards. In 2016, the Government of India honoured him with the Padma Shri, for his contributions in the field of Art. Rajamouli's films are often characterized by their epic grandeur, larger-than-life characters, stylized action sequences, and unbridled heroism with historical and mythological references. His films are noted for their integration of CGI with practical effects. With his Baahubali films, he has pioneered the pan-Indian film movement, wherein a film is simultaneously released in multiple Indian languages across the country, and made in a way that appeals to the audience cutting across the linguistic and cultural barriers. He is also credited for expanding the market of Telugu cinema and South Indian cinema into North India and international markets.

Rosalinde Fuller

Biography

From Wikipedia Rosalinde Fuller MBE (16 February 1892 – 15 September 1982) was a British actress, born as Rosalind Ivy Fuller. Rosalind’s acting career began in 1920 (What's in a Name), soon followed by the role of Ophelia to John Barrymore's Hamlet on Broadway in 1922 – the most famous production of Hamlet yet. After many other stage appearances, some with the Provincetown Players, she and her partner, the photographer Francis Bruguière, moved to London in 1927. At this point, she took the opportunity to drop nine years off her age, which is why many sources erroneously give her birth year as 1901. She had a busy stage career in Britain, starting with The Squall (1927) and The Unknown Warrior (1928). Over the following thirty years, she appeared in about sixty different stage plays and acted in at least a dozen radio plays. In the mid-1950s, she launched her own solo show of monodramas which she adapted from short stories. During the 1960s she performed these throughout the world under the auspices of the British Council. She continued to act until the late 1970s. Between 1929 and 1935, she appeared in seven films, most notably Escape Me Never in 1935. She also appeared in Britain's first broadcast television play, Rehearsal for a Drama (1939).

A. L. Srinivasan (also known as A.L.S) was a Tamil film producer who is known for having introduced many directors in Tamil cinema. Srinivasan was the sixth child in a family that had nine children. His younger brother Kannadasan was a poet and lyricist in Tamil cinema. Starting his career as a financier, Srinivasan slowly graduated to become a distributor and producer. He also owned film studios in Madras and Coimbatore. As a producer, he is credited for having introduced directors such as A. Bhimsingh, Puttanna Kanagal, K. S. Gopalakrishnan and P. Madhavan. Renata Maskova-Linhová became famous in the 70's as a child's star. She was born in Prague on April 7th, 1960, attended a ballet at the National Theater and a school dramatic circle, where Drahomíra Králová, who worked as an assistant director for the film RECEIVING USED USED (1973) and then brought a 13-year-old Renata to the camera exam , thanks to which she won the role in the film. Renata Mašková played one of her major roles together with Yvetta Korna - who would not remember their famous duet on the "Yellowstone" carousel. The film met with success and Renata Mašková suddenly became a child's star. Right now, the offer was dramatic and demanding, in the psychological film THE GREAT TRIP (1974), where she played alongside Eduard Cupák. Suzy Parker (born Cecilia Ann Renee Parker; October 28, 1932 – May 3, 2003) was an American model and actress active from 1947 until 1970. Her modeling career reached its zenith during the 1950s, when she appeared on the covers of dozens of magazines and in advertisements and movie and television roles. She appeared in advertisements for Revlon and many other cosmetic companies, including Solo Products, the largest hair care product company in the country at the time.
